Marion Hair Color Shampoo in Sachet Lasting 4-8 Washes - 51 - Light Pearl Blonde

I wanted to wait a while before reviewing to make sure there’s longevity of the colour and if it’s truly suitable on Afro textures or if it was better suited to straight/European hair as shown on the packaging. Anyone with experience or knowledge on genuine type 3C to 4C Afro hair textures will know it doesn’t need a 15 step cgm routine with layers upon layers of products and scrunching, plopping, flipping and diffusing just for the ‘curls’ to fall and the hair to revert back to being straight within 24 hours. Afro hair will maintain its natural curl as long as the hairs in good health and isn’t over processed or manipulated and my curls/coils haven’t changed with this compared to using a box dye that loosened up my curl pattern and needed protein treatments to restore it or adore that left my hair crunchy and dry. This Marion shampoo colour feels just like a conditioning agent on my hair, when applied to my damp hair it curls up as if I’d put a conditioner in, I was surprised yet very delighted at this effect considering that the packaging makes no reference to Afro hair as the packaging shows a woman with straight hair. This is officially my new holy grail, it’s a quarter of the price I was paying for my last semi permanent colour that made my hair so dry and stiff, it lasts ten times longer, doesn’t transfer onto fabrics, better value for money and the quality is absolutely superb and the best I’ve used and I’ve been dying my hair since 2009! These colours come out even and don’t have green undertones or stain it like henna dyes and it’s not chemically processing my hair with every application so saves me from damaging my curls/coils! I wish I’d found this product years ago but I’m delighted to have found it now! It’s very difficult to find good quality products that are both affordable and effective on Afro hair as they just aren’t moisturising or thick enough in consistency to coat the curls/coils and Afro targeted products and brands are changing ingredients to suit loose non-Afro hair textures whilst the prices skyrocket going up to ten times more than the cost of one Marion packet, so it’s VERY challenging to find that holy grail when you have a certain hair type but this Marion dye is extremely effective at depositing an even beautiful colour. It has a decent amount of slip to it to easily work through the strands and coat them adequately. Since Afro hair has fewer cuticle layers along strands that protect and seal the cortex of the hair, it can be very prone to damage from even minor hair treatments, the fewer cuticles are great for absorbing water/moisture/colours into the cortex but this leaves the strands open so moisture and colour soaks in wonderfully but exits the hair strands just as easily as it’s absorbed which makes it hard to maintain coloured hair but this product gets the job done and LASTS, it’s not like some dyes that’s very intense either bright or dark at first and you have to let it fade or shampoo lots to look tone it down, Marion dye looks settled from the first application and maintains the look, even with sulphate shampoo and heat styling my hair! It’s hardly faded and I only left the product in for 25-30 minutes compared to the recommended 45 minutes. I’ve recommended this to all my friends and family that colour their hair and I don’t ever plan on switching to another colour brand now I’ve found that holy grail that’s super affordable and the quality is unmatched and for such a low price with one packet being enough to coat my bra strap length curly hair that’s a super bargain!

​​I’ve docked one star immediately because this product arrived without a leaflet or any instructions. For a hair dye - where a patch test is essential - that is a significant oversight. ​ After 12 years of being bleach blonde, I decided it was time to be red again. My hair was getting brittle, and quite frankly, I was tired of seeing my mother’s reflection every time I looked in the mirror! My hairdresser applied a dark toner to prep my hair for a permanent red, but it quickly faded into a dull, lifeless brown. ​I needed something "cheap and cheerful" to tide me over until my next salon appointment, and this sachet ticked every box. My process & results: ​Application: After using a clarifying shampoo, I applied about a third of the sachet to my short hair. ​Timing: I left it on for five minutes. ​Mess factor: I wore gloves and was pleased to find zero staining in the shower or on my skin/ears. ​Coverage: The "lengths" of my hair look great with no patchiness. However, it didn't take as well to the "virgin" salt and pepper hair at the back or around my ears. Bonus: No colour deposited on my white pillows overnight. I couldn't tell you about my hair towel as I used a black one. ​ I bought the Aubergine (which I used for the photos) and the Red Wine. These will be perfect for maintenance once I go permanently red, as we all know how fast that fades. At three uses per sachet for my hair length, the value is unbeatable. Just be careful with the lack of instructions!

I used this product and left it on for the maximum recommended time which was promised to have greatest effect...there is absolutely no change in the tone of my hair colour at all (I am naturally a medium blonde so the ideal for this product in theory). If anything, the result is duller than with my regular routine with normal shampoo/conditioner - I had thought with all the claims of aloe and keratin, there would at least be a shine after 45 minutes with supposedly beneficial nutrients but no. Although this is an inexpensive product therefore my expectations were not high, this was a total waste of time and money. Directions are in Polish so here is a translation if anyone bothers to buy this product: BRIGHT PEARL BLOND For hair from light to medium blunt. Gray hair gives a beautiful pearly hue. The MARION Color Shampoo is an exceptionally gentle product, designed to give a beautiful, radiant and radiant color to the hair. It allows you to quickly change the shades of hair or to refresh it. Unique formula without ammonia and hydrogen peroxide, contains moisturizing extract of aloe and keratin, which strengthens the hair, restoring a healthy appearance. Thanks to the use of gel consistency, the product evenly covers the entire hair. The color stays on the hair from 4 to 8 myc, depending on the coloring time given in the way of use. How to use it: Put on the gloves, cut the corner of the sachet, then apply the preparation on the washed and moist hair. Massage your hair until foam is formed. Allow 20 minutes for hair to last about 4-5 washes or extend the stain to 45 minutes to obtain more intense color and longer hair length to about 8 washes. Rinse the hair and water will be cyst. In the case of gray and light hair, it is recommended to shorten the coloring time to 15-20 minutes. If hair is very bright or strongly damaged, before using a color shampoo, we suggest you check the intensity of color on a single strand of hair by following the recommended application time

Really like it coloured easily and blends in with grey and original blonde . Thought it was going to be really dark when I saw it but it turned out fine

Es un sobre que dura para unos 4 a 6 lavados, yo me puse una pequeña cantidad, con guantes se debe usar y la verdad que me ha gustado mucho como ha quedado, además también uso la mascarilla de color y por ahora estoy retrasando el tinte, así que aunque no cubre del todo las canas, si da un toque de color, yo en mi caso tengo el pelo muy oscuro y he conseguido darle reflejos caoba y me gusta mucho
