Our clay pots are made from the classic and time tested garden pot material - Terracotta. These pots are impressed with our unique collection of patterns and images and dipped each pot in a layer of fine red clay particles called terra sigilatta (Italian for earth seal). You will see our finger prints where we hold the pot when it is dipped, this is called the hand of the maker. Traditional earthenware planters are perfect for outdoor use as the porous nature of the clay allows the plants root system to breath, letting moisture in and out. To use indoors, simply add a glazed saucer or plate to protect your counters from moisture. These pots are a deep burnt orange color and over time will develop a unique and attractive patina. Earthenware planters will withstand mild winter weather. For the longest lifespan we recommend bringing them indoors during freezing weather. Due to the fact that each planter is hand made, please allow for slight differences in shape, size and color. 8.75"H x 7.5"D Each plant pot has a drainage hole for plant health.
