I usually don’t go this in depth with Amazon reviews, but I love this pinponiter and wanted to share my experience. Ergonomics: The F-pulse feels great in the hand. It has a natural shape and is easy to operate even with thick gloves on. The button is also easier to reliably press than other units. It has a positive click to it which is great. On my Garrett units, the battery compartment is a plastic screw cap which I often felt the need to re-check to prevent leaks. I don’t have to do that with the F-pulse because it’s impossible to accidentally open it! The color is bright and easy to find in the water and tall grass without being obnoxious. The texturized grip works great in slippery conditions. Finally, someone thought to do this! Reliability: This is a new unit from Fisher, so there hasn’t been enough time to do a long-term reliability test. I will however say that I have never experienced a single lock-up or freeze with the F-Pulse. With my carrot and original pointer would false if you pressed too hard into the soil. The plastic also appears to be much stronger on the F-pulse than any other pinpointer i’ve had since it does not scratch easily. Functionality: You don’t have to take my word that this is a deep probe. Look it up on Youtube for yourself. The claims are certainly true from my experience. I’m glad Fisher went with AA’s as it is easy to find AA rechargeable cells unlike 9volts. Again, I have to mention just how good this button is. If you want it on, it’s on. If you want to change the mode, it’s easy to do so intentionally. That alone is enough for me to make this my primary pinpointer. Bye Garrett!

I've been using the pinpointer almost every day for over a year. It works great. Only problem I've had is that the beep sound went very low for awhile, but I was able to fix tgat by blowing air thru the speaker holes and battery compartment. Appearantly there was a dirt blockage. Also I lke that it runs on only two AA batteries!

I purchased the red one instead of the green one from teknetics, which by the way is the exact same detector since teknetics and Fisher are the same company. I used it twice and the plastic was fading very fast , I know red is a bleeder color. Also AA batteries Duracell started out 1.5 volts after second time went down to 1.2 volts per cell. Decided I needed rechargeable pinpointer I'm tired of buying batteries. The fact that you have to always have them with you when you're coin shooting is a pain. Other than that it's very sensitive the pulse wave doesn't interfere with my metal detector. The fact that one button does like nine different functions is a bit confusing definitely a learning curve.

Love it, Love it, Love it. Again I don't usually write reviews but I felt I needed to for this one to help any fellow diggers out there. I've been using another "carrot" looking Pin pointer for a while, and it honestly seemed ok as I figured it wouldn't get any better. Well, I saw this Fisher one and honestly I just wanted one to match my F75. Got it today and boy was I wrong. This PP out performs my carrot by a mile, well almost 2 inches to be exact. I've attached a few quick test pics to show this. I used a regular class quarter and a lead bullet for the test. Aside from it picking up targets from a great distance it also has some functions that I really like. The LED is adjustable, which fore means longer battery life. It also has ground calibration and frequency shift to help with chatter from machine. Seems to me they've thought of everything. Lastly I like the red color as it contrasts with the ground just in case I drop it. In conclusion, get it, you won't be disappointed.
