Great All-in-One Screen for Any Car
I got this wireless portable CarPlay screen for my car, and it’s been a great upgrade. The setup was easy and didn’t require any wiring. It connected to my iPhone through CarPlay instantly, and the touchscreen is very responsive with clear visuals. The built-in 4K dash cam and backup camera are both high quality, giving a sharp image day and night. I also like that it has Android Auto support, Bluetooth, and GPS all in one unit, so it works perfectly whether I’m using navigation, music, or hands-free calls. The sound and display quality are impressive for the price, and the large 10.26-inch screen makes everything easy to see while driving. Overall, it’s a convenient and affordable way to add CarPlay and Android Auto to any car without having to replace the whole stereo.

excellent screen
Excellent car screen. The size is ideal; it looks large, modern, and very sharp. The screen quality is impressive, with vibrant colors and excellent brightness, even in bright sunlight. The touchscreen is responsive and very easy to use. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto work smoothly and wirelessly, which is a huge plus. The 4K camera and the rearview camera provide clear and detailed images. Installation is simple, and it works perfectly in any vehicle. A great purchase, highly recommended.

New addition to older car.
Installed into a 2013 Subaru Impreza. Yes, I had to remove panels, route wires, cut and solder wires together to extend the reverse detection wire and drill a small hole for the camera wire. I do like having a big screen, so that is a plus. Android auto works well, since that is what I use. It saved me a lot of money and time buying this as opposed to having the stock radio replaced with a modern touchscreen. Three issues, first one, sometimes the unit does not recognize that the car has been put in reverse and the backup camera does not display. I then put it in either neutral or park then back into reverse and mostly, it works after that. I can see the reverse lights are on, so I am not sure what is happening. The second issue, and I don't know how to fix this, is the backup camera view. I can set it so that it reads correctly from the screen, but then traffic moves in the opposite direction or I can set the camera so that what I see is reversed (signs, license plates) but traffic correctly moves behind the car. I guess as long as you know that there is something behind you, that is what matters. My last issue and I did not think about this until after I started using the screen, I really would like a light sensor on the unit to automatically adjust the brightness, like my cell phone does. Yes, it has the automatic dimming but only for set times, not a continuous adjustment. So far, after a few weeks of using it, it isn't too bad.

Something is wrong......
**UPDATE 9-3-2024** I am sending it back. I thought I had solved the power issue, but it started cycling again. This product is next to useless if it will not stay on. I know others have had no problems, but for me and my vehicle, this will just not work. ================= Original Review: I have a 2012 Nissan Xterra that has the stock Rockford Fosgate sound system in it. It sounds wonderful. I didn’t want to deal with the headache of replacing the head unit but I wanted the convenience of Google Maps, Steaming Audio, and phone utility. I picked out the Kuayvan Wireless Portable Carplay Screen based on reviews and features. I was pretty excited. The unit came very well packaged in an upscale full graphic box(which Amazon left on my doorstep, naked for the world to see). The box contained the display, 12v cigarette adapter with usb-c cord and an extra usb-a connection on the back of it, a telescoping suction cup window/dash mount stand, an adhesive dash only stand, and a aux cord. Plus misc paperwork. I placed the device in my truck using the suction cup mount adhered to my windshield. I then took the 12v outlet adapter and connected it to my truck. The unit immediately powered on. It stayed on for about 30 seconds, then it powered off. The unit then powered on again and after about 20 seconds, powered off again. It fell into this loop continuously. I could not get it to stay on for the life of me. As someone who deals with computers, the cycle of off/on reminded me of a device just not getting enough power to keep it running. I decided I would try a few things before I pack this thing up and send it back. I tried plugging it into the back of the included adapter with a USB-c to USB-a cord. No joy, still cycled continuously. As that was the only adapter I had at the moment, I brought the screen inside and plugged it into a stable desktop usb charger. The device powered on and stayed on. I hooked my phone to it and it did what it was supposed to do. Okay, so its not getting enough power in my truck. This led me to some conclusions: 1. My Xterra is not supplying enough watts/amps through the lighter. 2. The screen is somehow needing more power than it should for using a 12v adapter. I know others have gotten this to work just fine, but I have seen the reviews where some people are having the same problem. If this device needs a certain amount of power through the cigarette outlet and some cars just don’t produce this, it should be noted that this is a requirement in order to run. 3. The power cable is bad. 4. The screen is faulty. I ordered a new cigarette adapter to see if the one it came with is just bad. I ordered a 125w usb-c(65 watt)/usb-a(60) watt charger. I attached it using a USB-a to USB-c charger. The unit still went through the cycling. Seriously? I then went out on a limb and switched the cord out to a USB-c to USB-c cord. What do you know, It stayed on without cycling. I was ecstatic. I then plugged my cell phone into the USB-a portion of the adapter and it immediately powered down. What the frak?!?!?!?! 125w? How much is this device drawing. I am not an electrical engineer, heck, I am lucky if I have dressed myself properly, but this seems ridiculous. I have a second 12v outlet in my center console. I am hoping I can put a second usb charger in there without drawing power away from the dash mounted one and causing the cycling again. I just ordered it so time will tell. There are some solutions to this if you feel like the hassle: 1. Hard-wire an inverter into your vehicle directly to the battery. $$ and difficulty. 2. Hard-wire another 12 outlet(fused of course) directly to the battery with an off switch. Not as much money but just as difficult as and inverter. 3. Get a mechanic to diagnose and see if your electrical system is up to snuff.($$$$$) 4. Send it back and get a refund. 5. Don t buy it. I went from being excited about a product to on the verge of sending it back(still might). You can see from the reviews that it works just fine for most people. I am not one of them. Highly disappointed in this product at the moment. I can't speak to sound quality or functionality at the moment until I can get it and my phone to play nice with my electrical system. If the second usb charger is also a failure and causes cycling, this thing is going back from whence it came.

I’m beyond impressed with the kuayvan Portable Car Screen. My car didn’t come with built-in CarPlay or Android Auto, and this device has completely transformed my driving experience without needing an expensive head-unit replacement. Setup & Compatibility: Installation was straightforward—literally plug and play. It works with my older car just as smoothly as it does with my partner’s newer SUV. The multiple connection options (Bluetooth, AUX, FM transmitter) make it super flexible no matter what kind of stereo you have. Wireless CarPlay/Android Auto: The wireless connection is seamless. No more fumbling with cables—just get in, and it connects automatically. Siri/Google Assistant work perfectly for hands-free navigation, calls, and texts, which keeps me focused on the road. Screen Quality: The 10-inch IPS HD touchscreen is bright, crisp, and responsive. It’s large enough to clearly see maps and apps but not bulky or distracting. Cameras & Safety: The front 2.5K dashcam and rear 1080P backup camera are excellent. Both video feeds are clear, even at night, and having dual recording adds peace of mind while driving. The wide viewing angle makes reversing so much safer. Audio Options: I love the flexibility—built-in speakers, AUX, FM, or direct CarPlay/Auto audio. I connected mine via AUX, and the sound quality is just like my car’s original stereo. Extra Features: The mirror link mode is fun for streaming content when parked, and it honestly feels like having a mini home theater in the car. Customer Support: I reached out with a wiring question, and their support team responded quickly and clearly—very reassuring to know they back their product. ✅ Overall Verdict: This is an outstanding value for the features you get. If you have an older vehicle and want modern conveniences like wireless CarPlay/Android Auto, high-quality dashcams, and a large HD screen, this is absolutely worth it. It feels like I upgraded to a luxury infotainment system at a fraction of the cost. Highly recommended! 🚗💡

First of all, I am very happy with the product. The screen is absolutely brilliant. Clear and bright even with sunlight directly on it, but suitably dim at nighttime with black blacks. It is responsive and the touch sensitivity is good, and works with thinner gloves. The front and rear camera images are incredibly bright and detailed. I am using this unit on a 2010 Toyota Matrix, an older car that did not have a backup camera or bluetooth and no smartphone integration. This screen unit fits perfectly above the center dash, and the wiring of the backup camera was easy. I was able to find a Youtube instruction video that matched my car's rear interior and wiring layout. This unit has addressed the biggest shortcomings of this older car, and best of all, it includes a fast charging outlet for your smartphone. I am using it with Android Auto and it works better than I could hope for. I was nervous about the screen shape being so wide, but Android Auto uses this screen effectively, and actually gives a better layout than on my 2021 Nissan. I expect that the CarPlay will work just as well. Wireless Android Auto is a huge convenience. My phone connects within seconds and with a long range. My unit had an issue which was promptly handled by the customer service. The representative on the WhatsApp support line was very responsive (allowing for the Asian time zone) and used flawless English. They walked me through my issue, asked questions and offered videos, then shipped a replacement item from Asia to Canada in 2 days at no charge to me. The replacement works perfectly. This is top-notch customer service. I recommend this product with no hesitation.

I picked up this Wireless Carplay Screen for my older car and honestly, I’m impressed. Setup took less than 10 minutes, plugged it in, attached the sturdy mount, and it was ready to use. The 10” screen is super clear, and the touch controls respond really smoothly. Connecting my iPhone for CarPlay was instant, and everything worked perfectly right away. The included 4K dash cam and backup camera both deliver sharp video. I feel a lot safer parking now with the backup view showing up bright and big. Bonus: with AUX, FM, or Bluetooth, I could easily play audio through my car speakers no matter how old the stereo is. This was a worthwhile upgrade to get modern navigation and cameras without swapping out my whole head unit. If you want CarPlay or Android Auto in your car with almost zero hassle, I’d definitely recommend it.

It all started out like a success story. Installed the screen last night, paired with my iPhone, done! Everything working like a charm, right off the bat! The suction cup had a grip harder than the devil, which I found out when I went to reposition it by a bit. Today, the skies were clear, my was truck parked in front of the garage, slowly baking away in the sun. Later in the afternoon, when I came to install the rear-view camera, my screen was lying limp on the dash like someone had just strangled it. As I found out, the plastic around the suction cup had shrunk and deformed in the heat, and it had lost its grip. The first picture shows the suction cup relaxed (last night, the black rim and the clear suction cup were perfectly aligned in that state), the second picture shows the suction cup "in action" (or rather, missing in action). What's more, the ring screw around the ball in the back of the screen had expanded in the heat, losing its grip, too. I mean, yes, I live in Alberta, but we do have a few hot days during summer nonetheless, and I had the honest intention of using this thing year round. And even if I was prepared to adjust the ring screw, the deformed mount just won't do the job. It's going back - I have no use for such an utterly inferior product. The screen is nice and all, but I need (and want) to use the suction cup mount. I have other suction cup mounts for my phone, and they hold up nicely year round, so I know it can be done. I would give it negative 5 stars if I could - such a disappointment!
