Room mapping is a key feature
This is our second Eufy robot vacuum. The first one was the kind that just randomly vacuums wherever it wants until the battery dies, and it always had a full dirt cup so we trusted that it was getting the job done. The problem was pet accidents (are they?) from a particular dog (not a puppy) in our household. I thoroughly cleaned the thing several times, but I had to take it apart and by the 5th or 6th time this happened I just had to get rid of it and we went without a robo vacuum, and we noticed, and we missed it. I am absolutely not spending more than $300 on one of these robots, since any vacuums in homes with pets inevitably become stinky after a while even if they're not running over poop, so the Eufy has the right price and the technology is good. I'm delighted with this one so far. It sounds way more powerful, I can hear it cranking into high suction when it goes over the rug, and the room mapping means I can give it a sequence and it will work on one room at a time. I love being able to check in the app and see if it's stuck somewhere or if it actually finished vacuuming the whole area. We used to lose the old one that didn't have accurate positioning. I just moved a big potted plant and it left some dirt on the floor. I opened the app and tapped on zone mode and drew a little square where the plant was moved from, and hit start and the robot just came right straight over, adjusted the map to erase the potted plant obstruction, and vacuumed a nice tidy little square, getting all the dirt up, and went back home. That is science and precision right there! I do wish that I got a model that came with the brush roll that avoids hair-wrapping, because I have had to pull the roller out and cut the hair off it 3 times already for the first 6 runs. Also the extra LIDAR module on top of the vacuum makes it unable to get underneath a few pieces of our furniture that the old one was able to. I like that the app tracks how many hours this thing has run and I suppose it will suggest replacement filters and stuff that I can stay on top of and avoid the vacuum stink and keep this one around for longer. The dog seems to have gotten her act together.

More like a butler than a robot
I've been holding out on getting a new robot vacuum until I found one I liked that could map rooms for specific cleaning. I'm soooo SOOO happy with this one. PROS: - It's quick mapping is so easy and accurate. It's better than robots that just meander until they bump into stuff. Its like this robot actually sees things and can tell what it can go around vs what it can go under but still an object. It gets as far into nooks and crannies as it can. - It is great at remembering where it has already been and where it may have missed because a kid or animal got in it's way and going back over the spot. - It gets so much out of the carpet. - It is so fast. I didn't realize before how slowly my previous robot vacuums were when they were mapping or moving between rooms. When this one is told to go to a room, it goes straight to it very quickly. - I'm happy with it's runtime. It takes me 2+ hours to vacuum the entire house. This bot can run for 90ish minutes since most of the floor is hardwood. APP PROS: The app has a lot of ways to customize the cleaning which I appreciate. My toddler spilled a bunch of salt in the kitchen and instead of having to have it clean the whole room I could make a virtual zone and have it go to work. I combined a room cleaning with a virtual boundary so it wouldn't bump into the door while my baby was sleeping. My favorite though is if it gets interrupted it will show a message on top of the map saying exactly what happened. (See pic) I forgot I left a virtual boundary so it couldn't clean their room. I just removed it and sent it back. I love that you can combine cleaning modes in the app. It's so easy to merge and separate rooms. APP CON: I can't find an easy way to get it to clean sunken rooms that it can't get to by itself. (See pic 2) It might be user error on my part. I *think* maybe if I put it in the room it might figure out the positioning based on home base distance or virtual mapping? But I haven't had the chance to try yet. So far ive just made it add a new map. It will return to it's starting position when done instead of home base. CONS: Really I don't have anything I'd call a con. It doesn't tell you if the dust bin is full but I just empty it after each run since it's base is next to the trash can. I wish there was an option to tell it to remap only a certain area. I had a room closed the first time it mapped and didn't see a way to edit so I did a new mapping. I think maybe if I told it to auto clean it would have found it but haven't tried. If that is the case there is nothing in the app to indicate it would work that way or what to do if a room needs to be remapped due to furniture movement etc.

Great concept, riddled by poor software. Low cleaning success. Easily gets stuck.
We purchased this vac back in May, and its been in operation now for 6 months. We've used it 93 times, and it has successfully completed cleaning only 14 times (15% success rate) which is dismal. We also own several Roomba and Neato models, for comparison. The first problem with this robot is software. There are some bad habits that its programmed for. One, for example, is attempting to go into a corner that it cant reach because of obstacles. It keeps coming back OVER AND OVER AND OVER again to the same spot. There is not enough entropy in the model that would free it from trying to do something that is simply impossible. Simply introducing some entropy to its discovery model, and maybe dropping it to a SLAM model for a minute would get it out of this mess. Next is obstacles. While the company claims it can clear obstacles that are 20mm high, that is a bit of a stretch. It regularly attempts to go over thresholds and table legs (the T kind), and it regularly gets stuck on top of the leg. It attempts to get out and it will never succeed. Whats even worse, once it gets stuck at a location that it has fully and clearly mapped... it will keep going there... and it will keep getting stuck there... at the same spot... OVER AND OVER AND OVER again. There is no map optimization given failure spots. Ultimately, it will get stuck and won't go anywhere... so you pick it up... move it 10 feet away, and resume... BUT... it goes to the same spot it got stuck in... and again... attempts to get stuck again. Its almost comical watching it do so. Next, cords. These can be a problem for any vacuum cleaner, robot or not... but the Eufy seems to have excessive problem with this. It will get stuck on a cord, and it will never free itself. This is something Roomba has mastered, even back to the 200 series. Next is the battery: given the dismal error recovery procedure where it just keeps repeating the same mistake, it will deplete its battery to the point that the robot will get stuck somewhere, keeps failing to escape... and kills its own battery. Good luck finding the robot at that point. Due to the poor error recovery procedures, I would suggest saving 10% of the battery so it can play an audio beacon on demand when the owner tries to find the stuck robot. There are some things Eufy got right with this: for example the LIDAR is pretty nicely designed. Its relatively low profile so its good under our furniture. From looking at it on an IR camera, it looks like it scans at about 18 degree slices and its fairly effective in mapping. The vacuum portion of the system is also decent and operates well. Its quieter than all our Roombas. The app is nicely designed, but I could do without the ads. The only issue is that since it gets stuck so often, it hampers giving this thing more than 1 star when it gets stuck about 6 out of every 7 times we try to use it (which is an approximation of our 15% success rate)... it ultimately fails as a robot vacuum cleaner. I realize there are many many reviews on this, and there are people who are happy with this... so take this as my opinion, based on our sample (using a multi-vendor frame of reference).

Worth It!
I have multiple products from this company and have not been disappointed by any of them! This vacuum does very well on my hard floors and area rugs! Even the carpeted areas get a decent cleaning, but I still find myself needing to go over them with a big vacuum. However, all of my living area is hard floors, so with a dog, this thing is a life saver! The mapping feature is so great, I love being able to choose which rooms I want cleaned at what time and at what “power” setting. I really have no complaints! UPDATE: After 2 years of owning I can confidently say that my house would not be nearly as clean as it is without this little guy. However, I have to say, it is not great with corners, small crevices, etc. Also, with it being a “robot” there are of course some difficulties that come with technology. It gets lost sometimes. It sucks up socks and becomes stuck and won’t be able to finish its cleaning cycle, etc. Those are just challenges that come with the game here. It’s also a little taller than I’d like, so it doesn’t go underneath of some of my furniture. They make slimmer options. A feature I wish the app had however is to “2x” clean during scheduled cleanings. I schedule my vacuum to clean everyday at 9am, but I can not schedule a 2x clean. I can only do a 2x clean if done manually. So that is a little annoying. All in all, it’s good for the price and the purpose it serves for me. It could be better, but I’m sure the newer models are.

The BEST thing ever
This is my first robot vacuum and I'm OBSESSED. I can't believe the amount of dust, dirt and dog hair this little guy picks up. My floors have never looked and felt so great! I have the mode set to detect the difference between hard floor and carpet, and he switches to extra suction automatically when on the rugs. There's no issue transitioning from hardwoods to rugs, and he backs up and gives himself a boost when needed to get over floor grates or to move onto slightly higher surfaces. The app is intuitive and super easy to use -- I'd mapped the house and created rooms in no time. And I can see where the vac is/has gone easily. I debated whether to get a model with a self-emptying option and am glad I went with the basic option -- I love seeing just how much gunk and grit is picked up after each job (which is an absurd amount for a single person with one very-shedding dog). The roller brush and filter are easy to clean, and I appreciate that I can rinse and reuse the filter pieces (after they dry) instead of having to buy replacements. The battery life has been great, and I haven't had any issues with him not making it back to the base to recharge when needed (a common complaint I'd heard from friends was that their vac always seemed to die in the worst spots, like under the middle of the bed). I recently found the "x2" mode that sends the vac north-south through a room then again east-west when you need extra-thorough cleaning. I also like that I can create a "zone" in a room that I can the vac to for quick spot cleaning -- like the entry at the front door and in front of the stove and sink in the kitchen. The vac navigates around furniture like a champ, and maneuvers in gentle ways that clean as much surface as possible even when there's an obstacle. My couches are too low for him to glide under, so I tip them every couple of weeks or to give access to the floor underneath. Bottom line: this vac is GREAT, totally worth the price, and you'll wonder how you ever lived without it!

CAUTION: The L60 will wreck your furniture legs.
I have nothing but cons for this L60 (coming from using a Ecovac T8 for years). Sorry about the negative review, but people need to be aware of these issues. 1.Does not watch where it's going when vacuuming or returning to charge. I wish I had a video to show it going full speed straight into the corner of a table leg when trying to navigate out of a corner. 2. Unlike other brands, the charging dock needs to be literally stuck to the floor with provided peel and stick on the bottom of the base. This is a huge issue if you have more than one floor/map to run. Unlike the Ecovac, you can not move the base station. If you try to use it without gluing it to the floor, the dock will get pushed around during docking and the vac can easily be separated from the charging contacts. 3. Can not empty dust bin when vacuum is docked. The contacts to the docking charger are on the same side as the dustbin, meaning you have to undock it, empty and dock again. The T8's bin can be removed from the top. 4. Feels cheap. I guess you get what you pay for. The T8 was a tank compared to this. 5. Mapping is Ok, but again expect full speed collisions into your furniture. 6. 5000 mPa suction is debatable. Just because the company plasters it in big bold lettering on top of the vacuum makes me doubt that claim. 7. Doesn't pick up hair nearly as well as the T8. I guess I could go on, especially if I was going to keep it and spend more time playing with it,, but it's going back. Giving it 2 stars because it does vacuum some stuff up, but subtracting 3 for the bumper car style navigation. Avoid.

App is very buggy, vacuum a slight hassle to clean, still fairly nice to have
First I should say that going from no robo vacuum to having a robo vacuum is nice. Overall, it saves time and it's nice that it can easily get under beds and other furniture that would be difficult to reach for a person. It's a bit time consuming to maintain the vacuum. Overall the vacuum saves time, but cleaning cat and human hair off the roller and out of the wheels isn't part of the commercial and you have to do it often. The suction is JUST BARELY strong enough. Our cat tracks litter around the house and it can pick up most of it. 10-20% stronger would be ideal. It helps a lot with his shedding. The app is TERRIBLE. It's unpredictable and unstable. It lost the map of my house for no reason so I couldn't use the vacuum for a day. Re-mapping seemed not to work. It then randomly found my original map (I'm a software developer by trade, so I know my way around apps, this wasn't user error). To be fair most of the time I can get things done. I'm sold on having a robovacuum. Definitely no going to buy another Eufy unless something changes dramatically. If the app to control it doesn't work well it doesn't matter how much nicer a vacuum I buy.

The carpet and cat hair destroyer
I’ve owned a couple of robotic vacuums and ultimately was making choices between the roborock Q5, S7, or this. Frankly, I’m thrilled with this choice. The carpet performance is stellar. Pros: - The unboxing experience is standard and the setup is as easy as it gets, it now works with Bluetooth so you don’t need to switch your WiFi at all. - The L60 cleans methodically and maps your entire house pretty quickly, the quick mapping feature was all it took and when I pressed clean it cleaned the house significantly faster than my previous intelligent vacuums. - The brush is the real winner, the pictures don’t show it and it was my biggest concern, but it’s a mix of bristles and rubber, I’ve used multiple times and I’ve 0 cat hair tangles. A real different experience compared to others. - The carpet performance is fantastic, the dust, dirt, and pet hair this thing grabs is always surprising. - obstacle avoidance is pretty good, but I enjoy that it tries to get as close to object as possible to clean then, even if that means lightly tapping them. Cons: - Its louder, it’s not insane and doesn’t interrupt conversations even on the highest suction power, but do beware your going to know when it’s running. - The eufy store has no replacement parts for this device yet, so if you want a new brush or any new parts, you could be waiting. - The device takes corners very slowly, it’s not a huge con but you’ll notice it wobbles a lot and tries to climb cat trees. - The charging dock connects to the back of the vacuum, while the foot print is smaller, you have to physically remove the device from charging and take it else where to empty it, it’s not a big deal but it’s another step. Overall: For the price I am extremely pleased with this purchase, with the powerful suction and the brush, cat hair is a thing of the past and the maintenance of the device is really just emptying the bin every few runs. It’s a winner, but may not be for you if you need a thin vacuum, a super quiet one, or want the dust bin/mopping features.

Great Product. Even better Customer Service
After enduring the anguish of trying to deal with previous RoboVac products and sellers we finally took a leap of faith and decided on Eufy. WOW. The product is well designed and solidly built, the detailed mapping, intuitive customizable features, live tracking and UI are also a pleasure to use. We've had only one small issue with regard to a reoccurring 'roller brush' error code but after reaching out to them, it was efficiently addressed and resolved with a firmware update. Beyond a great product at this price point, what really shines head and shoulders above the rest is their exemplary customer service. Their promptness, patience, understanding and follow-up is outstanding. We are very pleased with our two L60s (one on each floor) and would not hesitate in recommending EUFY and would definitely purchase their products again with the utmost confidence 👍

Great. Just buy it. It's really really good.
Way better than expected. So so good and so simple to use. The only complaint is that without a self-emptying dock it does need a bit more attention (a couple times a week) than I would like if I was to buy again... but no regrets. We have a pretty complex home and this little beast figured it all out with no problems.

Great vacuum, but unreliable
I love this product for its suction power and mapping feature! Too bad Ankar/Eufy cannot create a reliable product. This is my third Eufy robovac- call me an optimist. The first, a Robo 11, failed at close to one year and was immediately replaced with no charge. The replacement failed at 2 years. I then bought an iRobot - reliable but poor suction and non-functioning side brush. Thinking third time lucky, I purchased this product Dec. 18, 2024. Immediately impressed by its performance and amused that the vendor thinks a cell phone is needed to operate a vacuum. (Really missed the remote control that was replaced by an app of all things!.) The new vacuum picked up an amazing amount of cat fur, cleaned the fur from felt furniture pads, even found its way to docking unfailingly - what a prize of a product that I recommended to other iRobot sufferers!. But the dream ended 6 weeks later when the machine gave a wheel module error and referred me to so-called Customer Support. Confident this could not be a serious problem in a new machine, I first viewed the online video, only to find I was expected to figure out which wheel was not working (hard to do when the machine won’t move!), take the machine apart to unplug and wiggle out the wheel module and replace it with a new module! Next step was a call to Customer Support where I spoke to a mostly non-verbal fellow who insisted that my only option was to buy a new module. He could not understand my objection that 1) the machine was new and 2) I would need to replace both modules since there was no way to identify the faulty part. Finally, he hung up on me or I hung up on him - he was so non-communicative that I could not tell which it was! So I made a return request, which the vendor accepted, and on the last possible return day (Feb. 1), I packed up my lovely vacuum and bid it a fond farewell at the post office. Now, I face a quandary - do I cross my fingers, polish my rabbit’s foot and buy this product again or begin the search for a replacement. Please, please, Eufy I am begging you to make a reliable product -I would gladly pay more for it!!
