A Good, Reliable, Solid Piece Of Gear
Had that tiny, super-light, Chinese-made titanium stove, before this one and the top of it popped off for some reason. Got it back on but was afraid to use it afterwards. Not sure if it was safe anymore and ordered the Snow Peak Titanium Stove, which from the photo looked somewhat more substantial. It has a sturdy, wide, expandable base, big enough for a large pot to sit comfortably balanced on. Wasn't sure how much weight it could hold, but it easily held a fairly large, (1400 ml) pot, nearly filled to capacity with fish and liquid. Folds up into a nice, small size that's easy to stash in a cup or small pot, along with a gas canister. Lastly, the regulator holds a steady, even, low flame making it easy to simmer on. No complaints. A good, lightweight, reliable, solid piece of gear.

Great stove
Great little stove. There is no included ignition but carrying a small lighter in the pouch it comes in is pretty easy. I love snow peaks stuff for hiking and this is super lightweight and made of the same high quality titanium you would expect from them.

Extremely compact, lightweight and clean stove
Great product that fits easily in a mess kit. The isobutane canisters get a little tippy when you've got a loaded pot sitting on top of the stove, so it's worth the money to get a stabilizer kit like the MSR universal fuel canister stand.

Great Little Stove!!
This is a great little palm sized stove well worth the money. There are others that are cheaper, but when it comes to my backpacking gear some bargains aren't worth it. This stove is incredibly lightweight. Easily attaches to isobutane canisters and packs up in it's own little pouch. This stove had my cup of water to a rolling boil in no time.

Best darn stove ever
Grew up in Bend Oregon using the MSR white gas stoves ( xgk, whisperlite, simmerlite etc....) for all our climbing, backpacking, skiing adventures. Never thought about dropping all that weight until we decided on doing the JMT last fall. Pulled the trigger on this little stove and must say it's awesome. My wife can now jump in and help with the cooking without fear of blowing up the campsite with the finicky MSR stoves. Cooks fast, weighs absolutely nothing and seems to be built very well. Did 3 weeks on the JMT and will be doing the last 250 miles in Washington this year and will bring this along again. Leaving the MSR's for winter snow camping and mountaineering....

A great replacement for my original MSR Pocket Rocket
I purchased the Snow Peak LiteMax because I wanted my lightweight backpacking cook system (pictured) to fit in a single Toaks 750 ml pot, which my old MSR Pocket Rocket didn't allow me to do as it didn't fit in my pot. This left me with a few options. I narrowed it down to the super light BRS 3000 stove (that ultralight backpackers rave about), an MSR Pocket Rocket 2, or this Snow Peak LiteMax. Ended up going with the LiteMax and I'm glad I did. The advertised weight is accurate. Build quality appears to be quite nice. I love how the fuel knob folds up nicely underneath the stove when not in use. The stove isn't as noisy as my Pocket Rocket, which is pretty sweet but it definitely does make noise especially on the highest setting. The pot stand is very accommodating to different sized pots and I imagine it's very stable due to how relatively flat they are. My only issue with the pot stand is the little feet that come out of the main part of the pot stand are a little hard to close. Maybe these will loosen up with more use. Overall, I'm really excited to use this stove during the upcoming season and hopefully for many seasons to come

Light weight says it all.
This is a very light, compact stove. It gets the job done and it's durable. It's not the best in windy conditions but it works. When ounces count this is an option to consider.

Only way to go
This is a great stove! Light, sturdy, dependable, and easy to use. I’ve been using this stove for 4 yrs now and I’ve purchased two more for my sons. I recently tried a different very light and inexpensive stove, with “BRS” on it, during a section hike of the AT. That stove malfunctioned and was packed out as trash. Luckily no one was hurt. That was the end of my experiment with another stove. The LiteMax has never let me down. I keep it wrapped up in a light load towel with a mini bic lighter inside my Fosters pot. This stove is worth the money! Don’t be tricked into a cheaper lighter option as it may not work out so well.

Nice
Sold without a fuel cartridge and it is impossible to find this special fuel cartridge in Canada, and Amazon, they say you need, but work well with another brand.

Perhaps, like me, you have noticed that here and on Snow Peak website there are photos of two slightly differing burner heads
Really pleased with this, beautifully manufactured. Perhaps, like me, you have noticed that both here and on the Snow Peak website there are photos of two slightly differing burners for the same model 120R. I have purchased the Snow Peak "LiteMax Renewed" stove and the stove I received is the one with the 'vertical rectangular flame apertures' as in the photo attached. Hope this helps you.
