Trying to get our dogs to use when weather is bad, so far no luck. Have them outside so maybe if they smell like the backyard it will work. Not the product just my stubborn dogs

I live in Arizona. During most of the really hot weather, my dogs run out to our all stone landscaping, do their business, and then run back in. Grass doesn't really grow well in a desert unless you use lots of precious water resources to keep it going, so I have an artificial turff pad out there that they can do their thing on. It works fairly well with the boys using it more often than they don't, but I would like to draw them to a specific corner of the pad. I saw this product and thought it would be worth a try. The concept is good. The execution is weak. The base clip just loosely slides over the turf. There are no grips other than a slight narrowing of the clip. The clip does not hold onto the turf firmly. The holes on the top of the clip that are used to insert the plant stems don't match the thickness of the stems. The inserted stems are only partially and loosely in the holes and will tip or blow over easily. I think a better design would be to have the stems go through the turf and come out the other side of the clip. This would secure the clip better to the turf and anchor the stems into the ground below. The holes themselves are spaced too closely and the stems are not able to be spread out sufficiently. My dogs have used them as intended, which is why I am giving even 3 stars. I have little to no confidence that the clip and the plant stems, as designed, will stay in place with even a mildly windy day. I will go ahead and drill out the holes so the stems will go all the way through and become anchors in the turf. If you don't mind making the same adaptations yourself, then this might be a decent product and a fair value. If you want this to work perfectly out of the box without doing anything else, this is probably not for you.

This is so awesome! It created the illusion the pups are outside. (Plus it’s SO easy to clean - eliminates the bad smell!!!) very easy instructions. Great performance all around!

Our puppy will still use the pads at night when nessessary. And he does tend to raise his leg. I thought this might make a good target instead of the occasional chair leg on the way to his pad. Our 7 month had the leaves and the small caps on top of the slide on leaves off of it in no time flat, not sure how many of the small tops he chewed and swallowed. Had a choking episode last night but could not find it and not in his mouth. Had to use first aid and soaked bread still not sure if it actually went down. Pissed off at 4 am

Dogs understand this is a peepee tree but the sticks don't stay in the holes very well.

This is a really cute addition to my dogs' I door toilet system it pairs well next to their plastic hydrant and adds a lot of personality! The flowers are plastic and therefore, waterproof. However, I've found that my dogs don't actually utilize this to go to the bathroom (they don't use the gmhydrant either) but it's so cute that it doesn't particularly make or break the product for me. Overall, I'm really happy with this selection and I would recommend this😊👍🏾

I am actually using these for an artificial plant stand that I have indoors. I needed something that would be easy to clean (dust) when I needed to and these "lemon grass" sprigs were perfect. I liked how many I received, and I really like how easy they were to manipulate and form the way I wanted them to look (fuller, thinner). It gave a more realistic look to them. I would say if using for a pee post, these could be helpful in training and giving the appearance of grass but I'm not sure about scent. I feel most dogs sniff out their spot, so not sure how well this will work, but definitely a cute idea and possibly could be helpful for training or if you have a doggy who needs that tall grass. They did come with a base plate to hold the grass in place, and you can wedge in between some turf or mat that you may be using for your pet. The artificial grass does stay in the plate pretty secure so that I feel is a good thing, however a few of the stalks were a little wider than the holes on the plate so maybe some shaving off the base of the grass might be necessary. All in all, for crafting/home decor, these were perfect and exactly what I was looking for. As for pet training, I am not sure, only b/c I know my dog is all about sniffing out her spot and I don't see her going near these, however, maybe a male dog would be different. Still think they may be worth trying though.
