Cute little e-file
I'm a 30 yr nail veteran and own a $1k e file that I purchased 25yrs ago and is still going. I bought this one to use for pedicures and it's good for that. However, it cuts out after about a yr or so. This is my 3rd one and it seems to have an issue where the coiled cord is connected to the base; the connection gets loose and loses contact, then intermittently shuts off. It goes back on when the wire is wiggled. (that's when i know its time for a replacement). But for around $80, it's fine for what i need. Goes backward, forward & has speeds that adjust with a hand dial on the base.

Brought 2 times. 😊
My nail tech used the first one probably 20 yrs. It was time. It still works but time to replace

Great file and still going! Updated 2021
Update Sept 2021: I still have this exact same unit I got in 2017 and I love it! Still no problems and working the perfectly as if it were new. I use this regularly every month since I first got it.Original Review: There's a lot to love about this file. I was really skeptical about it because it was cheap (in the world of electric files) and I saw a lot of reviews saying it was breaking on them after a few months of use, overheating, etc but I've had a wonderful experience with it. I do have a few cons which I'll go over at the end but they aren't intense enough to remove any stars, in my eyes.Pors:- Long power cord makes for easy repositioning of the whole unit- Removable speed pedal- On/off switch, direction switch, and speed of drill all easy to read and reach- It's very small and compact- While it can get warm if always plugged in or using for long periods of time, it cools off very fast- The handpiece is amazingly light (5.8 ounces) and easy to hold. It is heavy towards the end but you can still hold it easily towards the front and not have this be an issue.Cons:- The speed of the drill is not a digital display (doesn't affect the product, but it can be helpful seeing a number rather than a spot on the dial)- On/off switch can be difficult to flip at certain angles/with long nails- The hand piece's cord is coiled and this can get caught on the corner of my workstation, drawers, etc (more a pet peeve)I originally bought this in May 2017 and it is now October which is the 5 months later and it still works great. I haven't seen any issues in functionality and it always works through products well. I only use this for nails and nail enhancements but you could easily use this for feet with the appropriate drill bit.Overall, the small cons are easily overlooked by all the benefits of this inexpensive file. If you're working with hard materials like acrylic and gel or wanting something to help with pedicures/calculus on feet I'd highly recommend this efile!

Here's what's all included in t he box
I just got it early April 2015 and I like it so far. I am not a professional and have never used a drill like this before. It only came with 2 bits. I am learning how to do my own UV Gel nails so I will update again after I become more familiar with it. I want to list what is all included with this unit. The motor box, Foot pedal which clicks on and off - it's not a graduated push and release, Micro Motor Hand piece, Hand piece cradle, Power Cord, Clear plastic bit box with two silver metal bits, Instructional DVD, Warranty Post Card, 8-1/2 x 11 single sided instruction sheet, long colored order form to order many different bits, paper slip explaining how to blow air into hand piece to remove dust, little clear baggie with 1 fuse and two little things that look like tiny copper rectangles attached to tiny spring with little silver metal cubes at the other end of the springs (sorry don't know what that is) and what I believe to be a flat, metal cut out tool maybe to open up the hand piece or box to change the fuse or something? It's 30,000 RPM's, 120 or 220 Volts, Forward and Reverse direction, 6 oz hand piece. USB X000LJOJ7L. The bigger bit that came with it seemed to not remove much gel; like you'd have to work on it for a while. I need to get emery and other bits.

Slows down when any pressure is applied.
So disappointed. I purchased this electric file do do client pedicures. It drags and then speeds back up when using it to file callouses. Even with a very light touch. At 15,000 rpms. I did acrylic and gel for years and there is no way this would cut through that. Sadly, this is the second electric file I've ordered that will need to be returned. I've owned two others that lasted years and years. One was a medicool, very similar to this one. Sadly, it seems the quality has changed.

Hand piece overheats on the low setting in under 5 mins
3 1/2 stars from me. It's ok but the Kupa UP200 is better, even though the Kupa is only 20,000 rpms it doesn't overheat unlike the Medicool. The medicool over heats and the hand piece although light in weight is bulky in my hand because of the mechanism that allows you to change the carbide bits protrudes out a little bit. The Kupas handpeice is a bit heavier but it is more stream lined and made to be sturdier and doesn't overheat. The medicool is compact but still does not beat the Kupa. I am a professional nail technician, if my job requires me to do several acrylic nails fills or full sets in a row then I need something that won't heat up and get hot in my hand. I will be returning this as soon as I can and just shell out $150ish more for the Kupa. I own a medicool pro power pack that is rechargeable and though that the electric file for the table would be just as good, it is not. My portable power pack is better then this except it needs to be recharged which was why I bought the one for the table. I have included my coworkers Kupa and the medicool for comparasion. In our work stations there are holes in it so we can put our hand pieces in and mine does not fit in it but hers does, hence the reason why I say the medicools hand piece is bulky and not streamlined.

machine died after one month
I liked this machine a lot until it malfunctioned.... 37 days after I received it. Too bad there's only a 30 day return policy. Luckily the manufacturer is willing to let me return it under warranty and take a look at it.
