This is an air gun bore snake its doesnt have wire brushes like the firearm version. This is affordable and quick and easy to use and gets the barrel completely clean very fast. The build is great it has a heavy end and strong cord for pull through and it fits just right to clean with minimal effort.

This 9mm bore snake is well crafted and lives up to the Hoppe's brand reputation. After using for several months the material has not frayed or separated and the brass bristles haven't worn done. Well worth the price for keeping you barrel clean and lead free!

I wish I had these when I was a kid. Cleaning firearms is super simple with these. The weighted end makes it easy to feed down a rifle barrel. Durable build, when you wrap it around your hand and pull the rest through, you know it's not going to snap off midway and get stuck. The copper bristles scrub then have a follow-up swipe of looser rope behind it to wipe it clean off. Lube the barrel and let it run down before dropping the snake end in. Two or Three runs through and it's pretty much cleaned out your barrel after normal use.

Have used these for years, .22, and 9mm flavors. Makes cleaning fast and easy. My only gripe is the string tends to wear out where it is joined with the actual bore cleaner. I suggest a better lubricant or some sort of protective silicone sleeve. Otherwise buy one and throw it in your range bag you won't be disappointed.

I have a Volquartzen summit rimfire which has a leverage straight bolt pull back eject configuration and unlike a conventional bolt which can be removed to gain access to the bore with a cleaning rod, you cannot do so with the summit action so its either remove the action and disassemble the bolt, clean from the muzzle which will damage the match grade crown or use a bore snake...Since it shoots .22 lead a occasional cleanup is all you need and this bore snake does a great job to restore accuracy..I squirt a little Kroil on the bronze bristle portion of the bore snake and several pull throughs do a great job, actually better than I thought..After inspecting with a Bore Scope there was nothing left in terms of carbon or lead build up remaining in the chamber or throat after using this simple procedure..I bought 2 and I am glad...

I have almost lost count how many of these bore snakes I have bought. Been using them for a decade. They Come, work, function, and deliver a great way to clean a barrel in even just two times through. Three times virtually guarantees clean barrel. Love this product and lasts very well for years of use.

I needed a large bore snake for my new 45-70 and these have always worked well for my other rifle and shotgun bores.
