7" SKINNER BLADE Damascus knife kit - KNIFE MAKING - KNIFE KITS (ZEBRA)

The first kit we ordered was missing the pins and there was no info to be found except the instructions. I contacted amazon to see if they could just send replacement pins and each time they said to return/replace. Such a pain as the block and blade were great. We got the replacement and indeed the pins and a card with seller info was in there- a pain we now have to go down to ups to get it shipped back- nobody has time for that right now 😑 I’m not sure if this was Amazon or the seller.ABOUT the knife-Awesome kit! The Purple Heart is beautiful wood. The blade is sharper than expected and beautiful as well. We have bought 2 different kits and we would be back for more if we were confident we would receive the full kit and not have to hassle with a return. These will be gifts for our sons to make with their dad and should hold until they are old and pass to their own kid! My husband made a knife around their age and he still has it.Work on quality control and it would be a perfect set. I’m not confident to buy and send as a gift.

Bought this as a gift for my fiancé. Unfortunately it only came with one pin and the knife seemed a little wobbly when I laid it down (read the reviews) so in order to figure out if I should return it or not I had to ask him his opinion so there goes the surprise :/ he said that the knife wasn’t made perfect that it is not completely straight but it should be fine and that the one pin is large enough that he can just cut it in half n have his second pin. Goodbye surprise but at least he liked it. Lol

While it is a neat little kit there were a few problems. 1. The blade wasn't perfectly straight so no matter how flat I made the wood (or how hard I clamped it during application) it couldn't sit perfectly even with the handle. 2 the wood was prone to break and splinter. 3. The pre-cut holes on the blade are bigger than the pins they sent.

I bought this kit to dip my feet into the knife making world and I love it! Instructions are through! Although the holes are pre drilled, you will need to make them larger for the rivets to fit. Which I liked the more hands on involvement personally. I'll keep buying these until I have the means to make my own blades.

Bought this kit for a knife loving friend. He was over the moon excited and loved it. The finished product is beautiful and looks professionally made. Now, my friend has the talent, but the supplies/product made it happen. Will definitely buy from this vendor again.
