This smart outdoor plug has been really convenient for controlling outdoor lights and other devices. I love being able to turn each outlet on or off from my phone, and the two separate sockets are a great feature. Setup was simple, and it works well with Alexa. The weather-resistant design gives me peace of mind using it outdoors. Great smart-home upgrade!

Item came and works great!

This is pretty much what you'd expect from the description. It plugs into a regular socket and provides two weatherproofed sockets, each of which can be controlled by the button beside it or via the app. It uses 2.4GHz wifi connections, so if you've upgraded to the point you're only using 5 and 6GHz you'll be out of luck.Remote control is easy enough, the app is simple and pretty intuitive. Just make sure you choose the right product when you're connecting it. Once it's connected it works, and you can manually turn each individual socket on and off with the app, or set up schedules, or link Kasa to something like Google Home and set it up there, and so on. Connecting was easy - it was cold outside when mine arrived so I plugged it into an indoor socket and connected it to my wifi, then took it outside when it was a bit warmer. It reconnected to my wifi automatically and more or less instantly.Being rated for outdoor use means you can use it to set things like Christmas or Halloween lights on a timer, and being able to schedule based on sunrise and sunset means you don't have to constantly adjust a time-based solution as the days get longer and shorter. I like being able to set my yard lights to come on 15 minutes after sunset and turn off at 11pm.If your outside sockets are low to the ground you may find the cord is a little on the long side. My sockets rest on my porch and I'd kinda like a shorter cable. It's a minor annoyance, not enough to warrant dropping a star, but if you have the kind of situation where you have an outside socket low on a wall and often get puddles forming underneath it you might want to rig something up so it doesn't sit in a puddle.It's rated to work in temperatures cold enough that I don't expect issues even through the depths of winter.

I am very impressed with this product. It is well made and the app is easy to use, once you've gone through the installation process. (We are using the Kasa app.) I appreciated that the instructions packed in the box were brief and to the point, not endless pages of meaningless safety warnings and disclaimers. I would definitely buy again.
