Simple to refill
This feeder is the most convenient squirrel proof way of dispensing sunflower seeds to smaller birds that I have found. I do use a bird feed funnel to fill it and recommend you purchase that for the top opening. It takes very little time and effort to remove the cage, refill the tube and return it all to your hook on the tree. It took a full week for my birds to trust this feeder, but patience paid off. Starlings are leaving it alone. This feeder will Not allow the larger birds in. It’s light weight, well-designed, elegant looking, durable and effective.Additionally. One reviewer showed a squirrel inside the feeder. If you will look at the photo you'll see that the feeder is Not hanging. It is stationary. If it were hanging, there is no way that squirrel could have Struggled his way in.

Great Bird Feeder
I like how sturdy the bird feeder is. The squirrels can not get into it. We have plenty of birds getting food throughout the day. I plan to buy another one soon. I hesitated until I tried to clean the feeder. Once my husband showed me how to do it, it was relatively simple. As you can see from the photo the bottom perch was taken off. There is a screw that holds it in place so just remove the screw and the bottom comes off allowing for thorough cleaning. It is a lot of pieces once taken apart but well worth it knowing the feeder is clean unlike many of my old bird feeders.

Takes a bit more effort than other feeders.
The small birds LOVE this feeder. The design is a pain. The lid doesn’t fit well and the tubing is plastic. I don’t see this feeder lasting long, and I feed a lot of birds and I’ve done it a long time. When I replace the top after refilling, I have to “gently squeeze” the tube to replace the lid. Even then sometimes it’s a battle to get the lid to close. Then you have to line up the handle to pull through the cage top.

Squirrels Can't Get In
I've had four of these feeders for over a month and NO squirrels have gotten into them. I think they've even stopped trying. It's amazing how long the bird food is lasting now that only birds are eating it.

Spaces Too Big, Jays steal all the food!
I liked this sturdy, attractive feeder and the fact that it attracted lots of little birds, who could eat in peace, so much, that I bought a second one. But, after a few weeks, the Steller's Jays figured out how to get their heads through the bars and in a few hours clean it out. The spaces are just too big! Now I have 6 - 8 Jays at the feeders and the chickadees and nuthatches have disappeared. I am going to have to go back to the global feeders, which have smaller openings in the metal grid.

NOT for Lovebirds!
I bought this for the sole purpose of attracting Lovebirds (they flourish in Phoenix), but not bigger birds like doves & pigeons (which are troublesome at bird feeders). The wire “cage” is too small for Lovebirds to get through!!I left it off for 6 days now, and still NO birds at all (??)! Tons at my neighbor's, so not sure what is going on, but still 100% useless for my purposes. :(

Small birds are loving it!
Very big and very study! My little birds are so happy! Little bummed the cardinals are not enjoying it but they can join the Mourning Doves on the grass!
