Great intro to the F-16
Great book for an introduction to one of the greatest fighters ever built. Filled with illustrations, it documents the history and performance of John Boyds baby.

A good reference, despite some inaccuracies.
This volume provides a good, detailed look at what is perhaps the most important fighter aircraft of the current era. However, at times the editing left something to be desired, and in some places, the author is downright sloppy in his relating of military history relevant to the F-16. In particular, the section on Israel's F-16 fleet is rife with errors; Israel only bought French equipment until the '67 war, after which fighter aircraft were exclusively supplied by the United States, well before the Camp David Accords of '79. The Israeli strike on the Syrian nuclear facility did not take place in 2008, as related in this volume, but in 2007, and was not carried out by F-16s, but was instead executed by F-15 Strike Eagle aircraft. All the same, it is a useful reference otherwise, particularly in describing the myriad versiona and upgrade programs associated with the type. I found the first-person accounts of flying and maintaining the aircraft interesting as well.
