I Loved This So Much I Bought A Second One!
I cannot vouch for the battery life, yet, but I absolutely love these little lights! The 3 different light settings are great (cool white, warm white, and natural white), and each option has 3 levels of brightness. I bought the first light for camping (mostly to use inside my tent, , for which I would prefer the warm white. It's pretty, like candlelight). The flexible strap with a hook could hang inside a tent, or you could hook it on a belt loop and use as a flashlight. It's lightweight and small, but powerful. I usually fly to camp, so size and weight are more important. This is a great addition to my gear.

Very nice design but difficult to use
Cleaver design and very functional except for the on/off button which is hard to push in/out, on/off.

Nice bright tent light
I know, that title rhymed. It's true tho. We have a nice canvas Springbar tent, and the best type of light for me in there is one that hangs from the roof and illuminates the entire inside. This little lantern is perfect. It sorta reminds me of a pendant lamp in my mom's house. Anyway, it clips to the roof and illuminates the interior quite nicely. It also holds a charge for quite awhile, and it recharges quickly. I can set it outside with my little solar panel and it is good to go in about an hour. I've tried out a lot of lanterns and flashlights, but this one is my favorite for in my tent.

If only . . .
If you've got a hankering to go camping or a scout in the family, this is a reasonable light to have available. I worked BSA camps for ten years from the mid-eighties to the mid-nineties, and this would have been a god-send for some kids. The alternatives back then were propane/butane lanterns or flashlights. The lanterns generated heat, ran out of fuel, and had glass shades that broke at the drop of a hat (well, drop of a lantern at least). The flashlights weren't much better, and batteries were expensive so kids were always running out of juice. This little light is fantastic. It charges up fairly quickly (two hours from its original charge to full), and it has enough settings to be useful for any size tent or interior space. It's lightweight, durable plastic, and it throws a decent amount of light. Definitely, you could read/write by it, or if you're a little jerky about the woods at night, use it as a nightlight on the low setting. The glow setting is soft enough to sleep by.Now, I didn't test this out in a tent or in the backyard, but my youngest sister passed away in July, and we've been working on cleaning up her house since. Unfortunately, the basement lights have been out for awhile, so we needed to put something in there that would be portable and shed enough light to illuminate a pretty dungeon-esk setting. It worked like a dream. I took a couple of pictures, but I can't get them to upload, so you'll have to trust me.We hung the light from a beam and put it on the high setting. After an hour or so, we needed to drop it down to the medium setting because we kept looking up at it and losing our vision. It was simple enough to move, and when we needed the higher setting to examine something closely (there was paperwork that had to be read through), that was easy enough to get back to.As the day wore on, I kept thinking "that things just going to cut out and we'll be lost in the pitch black." We worked six hours and forty minutes, and it never ran down. The light was steady and strong on the medium setting for almost all of that time.In the end, if you need a light weight, portable light, with multiple settings and intensities, this will work either in a tent, a basement/garage, or just outside when you're having a campfire. I don't often recommend products highly, but so far, this has been great. Buy one for the kiddos before their next camping trip or before yours.
