This double duvet did not come with any pillowcases. Good quality but very disappointed

I loved the duvet cover but, I couldn’t buy the pillow cases or the cushions. I’m sad about that.

This is a handsome contemporary-styled duvet cover that would suit a modern home. It is a brilliant white cotton with glossy 'sateen' strips. However, there are some things about it that would give me reservations about this particular Hotel ;) Firstly, the price. Although Amazon is offering a good discount from the RRP at the moment it still seems a lot for a relatively plain 200 thread count double duvet cover. This kind of price is usually reserved for a higher thread count or a more detailed, labour intensive fabric. So I don't think it offers great value for money.Then there's the stitching which isn't of the highest grade - in particular the button holes look like they might split and there were dozens of loose threads hanging around inside the cover.And one final thing which would concern me is that this brilliant white is going to be difficult to present without showing off its creases and will likely turn the usual grey no matter how far I keep it from other colours. The first wash has already shown it loose some of its factory brightness but so far the dark bands seem colour-fast.Overall this is a striking duvet cover for a certain kind of home but overpriced for its quality level.

I love cotton bedding … and this 'Imperial' double duvet cover from Peacock Blue Hotel is made from 200 thread count Egyptian cotton sateen.Thread count refers to how many threads of cotton are contained per square inch of material. The difference between 'Percale' and Sateen' cotton is that Percale cotton is a crisp and stiffer material and Sateen is a softer shinier cotton.This is a good quality double duvet cover designed in a nice modern geometric pattern … graphite and bright white. The wide opening is button fastened and the buttons are not too big or too small for the holes (which is a problem of some duvet covers). The buttons appear to be securely attached.A plus point for me is that this duvet cover can be washed in the washing machine AND tumble dried.My only negative is … it doesn't come with any pillow cases which is very disappointing considering the high price.

Using thread count as the only measure of a duvet cover’s quality can be highly misleading as other factors are just as (or even more) important in determining the quality of the cover.Therefore, don’t be put off with this cover only having a thread count (the number of horizontal and vertical threads in a square in of the material) of 200, which seems quite low (you can get thread counts of over 1,000) but in practice it’s probably just about right as this cover washes well, irons well, and feels soft to the touch. My only concern is the price, currently just over £66, seems somewhat steep considering it’s only a double-sized duvet cover and does not come with matching pillow case, which have to be bought separately.As for the material itself, so far I’m pleased with it.

This is a stylish looking duvet cover and being 200 thread count Egyptian cotton it is also very soft to sleep under and feels nice against the skin. Whilst I can not fault the quality of this I do feel that it is on the expensive side especially as it does not come with any pillow cases.If your willing to pay what I consider a high price then I am sure you will like it. The cost of an item is always down to personal choice!

This is a nice stylish duvet cover. The cotton fabric is silky smooth and pleasantly cool next to your skin. The grey graphic contrasts well with the white background. Pity there were no matching pillowcases.
