Marc Anthony Strictly Curls, Define & High Hold Frizz Taming Curly Hair Gel

Use it every time I go for the curly look. My hair is naturally curly, but in the humid climate where I live, it’s impossible to maintain the curl without this product. I have it in my hair right now. I had to buy a tube of it for my adult son who has long thick curly hair. He loves it too. He’s on his second tube. I’m currently using the pump which I really like. Can’t beat the price for the great curls it holds. A bottle lasts me a year. Great value! Great hold. I just spray my hair with a fine mist of water to re-create the curl after sleeping on it. This is a really effective product and doesn’t leave a sticky harsh residue behind like hairspray. My hair stays soft and the product washes out easily. I absolutely love it.

While I’m still fairly new to my curl journey, I will say this is the best gell I’ve tried so far. My hair is soft, you can’t even tell I have product in by feeling it. So easy to measure out the correct amount (something I sometimes miss guess with the tub) and it holds all day as long as I don’t keep touching it lol.

The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is that it can feel a bit heavy, especially if you have finer or low-density curls. On days when I accidentally use a little too much, my hair feels weighed down and loses some volume at the roots. I’ve learned to use a very small amount — less is definitely more with this product. If you’re someone who likes volume and light movement, you’ll need to apply with a light hand or combine it with a lightweight mousse or volumizer at the root. That said, the product doesn’t cause any buildup, flaking, or weird residue — another big plus! It washes out easily and hasn’t irritated my scalp at all. All in all, this gel is a fantastic option for curlies looking for a soft, moisturizing, and defining product without the dreaded crunch. It’s perfect for wash-and-go styles, and while it may be a bit rich for some hair types, it’s definitely worth trying — especially if you’re tired of stiff, drying gels that leave your hair feeling like straw

Smells so good! Great on my permed hair and still leaves my hair soft. Controls all the frizz and not greasy at all. One of the easiest hair products that leaves my curls nice and moisturized. Would buy this again!

The gel works well, holds my curls with minimal frizz and gives a decent cast to scrunch out. However, I don’t like the texture it gives when it dries. It’s not a smooth drying gel on my hair, it leaves my curls feeling dry. I also don’t care for the scent of the gel. It’s a good product to get by but I’m not sure I would purchase this gel again.

It smells like lemons and I genuinely love it. It holds so well with actual shine and definition. I have 3B hair that’s super dry and always end up using a lot of moisturizing products, it doesn’t flake at all. I find it comparable to Shea Moisturizes gel, which I also loved. It works well, there’s no residue, the bottle doesn’t leak and be pushed down and turned shut again for travel. IMO try it, it works!

This curl gel works great - it defines curls nicely, tames frizz all day, and doesn't leave any crunchy or sticky residue. A little goes a long way and my curls stay soft and bouncy. Highly recommend for anyone with curly hair!

Once it dries, it forms a soft cast that you can easily scrunch out, leaving your curls defined but still bouncy and natural-looking. What I liked most is the frizz control. My hair usually gets frizzy pretty fast, but this kept it under control for most of the day while still looking shiny and healthy. It also doesn’t leave flakes or a sticky residue, which is a huge plus. The scent is light and slightly citrusy, not overpowering. It also contains ingredients like shea butter and oils, so it helps with moisture as well as hold. The only downside is that if you use too much, it can feel a bit heavy or slightly crunchy depending on your hair type — so you have to find the right amount. Overall, this is a great everyday curl gel, especially if you want definition + hold without that stiff “gel hair” feeling. I’d definitely recommend it for anyone with wavy to curly hair looking for something affordable and effective.
