Better than the Original American Elite
Had my reservations about this tire even though I have always run on American Elites. Had concerns about the tread pattern and how well it would shed water. After about 8000 miles on the tire in wet, dry, hot and cold weather conditions, the tire has performed above expectations and seems to be wearing at a normal rate. The tire rides well on long runs and sticks in the curves. Rode the mountains of North Carolina and Tennessee in wet conditions and the tire never broke traction. Would recommend this tire to anyone looking for a good all-weather tire.

Don’t make the mistake of returning it thinking it’s the wrong tire like I almost did
The picture shows the older tire that says America Elite, but you will get the newer version , the other tire was discontinued from my understanding. The newer tire is also excellent touring tire with lots of rubber and more threads to handle rain better

I need a tires for my 2013 Harley Davidson Road glide. I purchased Shinkos $$. I had heard that they were a good option for my bike. Well……. 2500 miles later the rear tire came apart. I was on the last day of a 2000 mile run. Stranded 133 miles from home. So now I will use nothing but Dunlap tires. I use these before and they were a little bit more $$$ than the Shinko…..
