You gotta love this super low profile, modern looking door holder. My door no longer close half way anymore.

Barn door isn't perfectly level and wants to close. This worked great to keep the door open when neededOnly negative is the magnet up inside the upper bracket eventually unscrews and falls out but easily screws back in. Next time it happens I will put a bit of threadlocker on it. So consider that on install.

I read reviews right before these arrived that were negative, so I was expecting them not to work well.I have a new cat that keeps opening these doors and trying to eat my birds. We were using a chair and other things to keep her out, which is a hassle when going in and out. I found these that are meant to prop doors open, I think. However the magnets are strong enough to keep the cat from opening the door, they allow us humans to go in and out with ease and the adhesive option allows them to be temporary so when miss kitty goes back home, we can remove them.Perfect! So glad I found these!

A friend has this doorstop and it works well enough for her but sadly it is not strong enough to hold open my heavier apartment door even if perfectly placed. If it can hold your door it’s wonderful, if not it doesn’t have much use

This door stop will not work on any door that is higher than one quarter inch off the floor. It is too low on the floor to make contact with the magnet side. If your door is almost close to the floor, a quarter of an inch or lower, then it might work. But for regular doors like mine which are about 1 inch off the floor, it just will not latch.

Fairly loud CLICK as they catch the door. Also, unless your door is almost flush to the floor, you won’t be able to use the screws to attach this to your door, just the two sided tape.But they are working.
