Nice hand towel stand, easy assembly
It took 9 minutes from unboxing to assembly completion to put this together. And that includes the time it took to double check that all the parts were included. I selected this particular towel stand because the rear bar is much taller than other models, and because of the marble base. Both aspects are as expected and I'm pleased that the base is actual marble instead of plastic or something with a marble finish. That being said, it's pretty heavy, which is great because it's not easy to tip this thing over when grabbing a towel. I appreciate that there was the thought to include adhesive foam pads to avoid scratching the countertop. I left the foam pads off the top, though. I guess they're to prevent towels from slipping off either side, but I felt they took away from the classy look.

Easy to assemble, feels pretty well made with room for improvement
EDIT: After using this for ~6 months, I noticed a bit of rust developing on the stand. These parts weren't scratched in any way, so it surprised me to see it coming through the paint. Because of this, I'm deducting 1 star.First off, this item was very well packaged. It came in a very thick and sturdy cardboard box with styrofoam cut precisely to hold each part of the stand. The individual parts were also held in plastic bags. I bring this up because you likely purchased this based on the way it looks and poor packaging is likely to ruin these pieces before you even unpack them.Assembly was pretty straightforward and a single hex key is all that's required for assembly (it's included). However, the instructions were slightly unclear when it came to which screws to use where (all the screws look the same in the instructions but the long screws secure the post to the base). The base is pretty hefty and is made of stone (can't tell if it's actual marble or something synthetic). Once everything is secure, it doesn't feel like it'll tip over too easily. There are also rubber pads included that you can stick to the bottom of the base to help it resist sliding and scratching up your countertop. However, there are a few things that can be improved. First, the horizontal bars for the towels are secured by a single screw each with no other method to lock them in position. You can't really crank down on them so it's likely that they'll turning on the mount (you can turn them by hand even if you tighten the screws). It's hard to tighten them down even further because...Second, the screws that secure those bars are painted (I assume this is the case for both the white and black versions). Because of this, tightening them down for installation starts chipping away at the paint on the screw head. And because they are painted over, it's actually hard to get the hex wrench deep enough to tighten them even more. I also fear that those areas where paint got chipped away will eventually rust.Third, I ordered the white version and the paint they use is an off-white/cream color, not the bright white seen in the product pictures. The base is closer to a pure white, so the contrast between the metal posts and the base look a bit off to me.Fourth, there are stick-on, sort of neoprene pads that are meant to be placed on each end of the racks. The idea is that they'll hold the towels in place and prevent them from sliding off. However, this looks extremely out of place and a bit cheap and I can see them peeling off over time. I can appreciate the thought behind this, but perhaps a better solution could be made, though likely at a cost. I just left them off.Overall, this is a decent stand. It's a good option compared to other ones I've used (this is replacing a horrible one). There's definitely room for improvement but that would take a bit of redesign.

Minus one star for a slight problem during assembly
This came packaged well in fitted foam sleeves in a sturdy box. The instructions had each part labeled and was easy to follow. I did have trouble with getting one of the bottom screws to screw in straight. The way this is built requires the bottom plate holes to perfectly align with the holes in the marble base. It was off just enough that once one screw was started, the other screw wanted to go in crooked. I tried the screws without the plate and they fit fine. I tried a different hole as the first screw and it didnât remedy it. I had to barely begin one screw and then begin the 2nd one (which still required some force). After much delicacy that shouldnât have been required, I was able to get both screws in all the way. No problem with the top screws. It comes with black rubber adhesive circles to put on the outer edges of the top bars â I guess to keep the towel from sliding off. But those look like they are protective pads and definitely didnât add to the look, so I chose to not use them. The marble base and the polished chrome bars look top quality. No gripe with this towel bar except for that aggravating 2nd screw when assembling.
