No clue if it's D2, but a GREAT flipper!
Wasn't sure what to expect, but I really like this flipper. Steel came sharp and has stayed sharp. No clue if it's D2, but it acts better than most Chinese stainless steels I've used. The knife is LIGHT! The G10 scales cover a lightweight skeletonized frame with large cutouts, making for a larger knife that carries like there's nothing in your pocket. The bearing is S-M-O-O-T-H, and the detent is solid. The blade stays in place until you decide it doesn't. With a solid flick to get past the detent, the bearing engages and the blade rolls out like...well...use your own imagination to think of something velvety smooth and well lubricated and you'll probably be right--I'm too tired to figure out a good metaphor :) ). There is very little friction.Only downside so far is that there's no thumb stud. Only real way to deploy the blade is to use the flipper, which I've yet to find insufficient. The blade locks up solidly and releases easily.I wish I could trust that the steel is well-treated D2. It would then be worth far more than price being charged. Since D2 is an American-made powdered metallurgy carbon steel, I strongly doubt that this is really D2. Hopefully, there is a rough Chinese carbon steel equivalent and this isn't just the regular ubiquitous Chinese stainless steel. But for the price, I'm happy either way. Like I said, the blade is solid and it holds a somewhat toothy-feeling edge. I'd prefer Chinese companies be upfront with the exact steel they use, and not list the US steel equivalents--I understand the rationale, but find it somewhat dishonest. No clue if that's the clue here.Whatever the case, overall, this knife is a great value for the price.

Excellent especially for the price
This knife came sharp enough to shave hair. The blade is perfectly centered when closed, and when open there's no blade play in any direction. The flipper could've used some jimping but it works well and the knife flies open quickly. The liner lock is better than on some knives I own that cost 10x more, I spine whacked it a bunch of times and it never failed. The G10 has a rough grippy texture, although the edges of it are sharp - nothing some sandpaper can't fix. The knife is tip-up carry only but the detent is very strong and you won't have to worry about it opening in your pocket. For only $20 the value for your money is huge on this thing.

Flip tab tab weak design, good blade, good knife for the price, knife needs adjusrments
An almost perfect knife, I am keeping it despite the flaw, which is the flip tab is poorly designed, it is too small to provide the leverage necessary. Sometimes, you just cannot get the blade to open via the flip tab. In other words once in a while, it sticks! Bad for an EDC but OK for a work knife. The pocket clip is livable. Other than that, I like the knife despite its low budget construction. The tab does the job most of the time, but not 100%. It is working much better as it gets broken in, all-in-all its worth the money if you are patient and willing to do the work. I like it, tho it is a little large for an EDC. Yes you do need T6 & T8 screwdrivers. In summary, best larger cheap knife out there, but you do have to work on it. HINT you must pull straight back on the flipper tab, I think that was my problem, I wasn't pulling back the tab straight!

Best knife for the money I've ever seen
I bought this for my 12 year old son for his first pocket knife. I was looking for something decent but not to expensive. After a bit of research I saw quite a few people who mentioned this pocket knife is said to fit that criteria. Well I got the knife in the mail today and to say I'm impressed would be a vast understatement. It seems to be extremely well built and razor sharp, literally razor sharp I tested its sharpness against my arm hair and it shaved my arm as good as my gillete would have. What impressed me the most though is the fact how well the linerlock on it held. When I say there is zero blade play I mean zero blade play none. Not side to side up or down not at all. It is so tight you might think it's a fixed blade if you couldn't see the lock. I really am impressed. Someone on here said that the d2 steel is softer then d2 he is used to, I can't say I obviously fidnt have to sharpen it because like I said the knife is razor sharp already but either way I'm sure it is d2 steel and for the price they have it for on here I can't imagine you will find a better knife for the price. I have a kershaw blur the s30v model of it that I paid right around 100 bucks for blades hq has it listed at 115 now and amazon has the regular version of the blur the 14c28n steel for 75 bucks. D2 even if it's a little soft d2 is still far better steel then 14c28n steel. And the build is miles and miles better the the blur. Well done...

Best Knife Ever Bought
This knife exceeded all of my expectations. As a knifemaker, I critique blades on their craftsmanship, sharpness, durability, weight, etc.Hands down. This is the best knife I have ever bought *Damascus Included*.Right after unboxing I tested for anything loose, damaged, or cracked. Perfect.Next I felt the grip and it feels rugged, durable, and smooth. It is exceptionally light and I can barely feel it in my pocket. The blade is the best part. D2 steel is great when it comes to hardness and durability, but this is the SHARPEST KNIFE I have ever received straight from the factory.I sharpened it my own way and now it beats some of the razors I have in the bathroom and it is incredibly dangerous. That being said handle this with care!Price, durability, and sharpness.... this is unbeatable.I would recommend this to all of MY customers and anyone else in need of a knife just shy of a lightsaber.5 stars all the way.

Unbelievable quality for the price.
Couldn’t be happier with this knife! This knife is solid. Works flawlessly and smoothly. Great edge right out of the box. Blade lines up perfectly in the middle. No wiggle. Definitely recommend.
