Red Dot Sight 551 Metal Holographic Sight Green and Red Dot Scope for Outdoors

I wanted to try this product because holographic sights are best for older people and people with astigmatism. It exceeded my expectations. Not only does it offer a green reticle, as the green color is better than red for astigmatism, but it is very crisp, with the crystal-clear view through the glass. Finally, after many trials and errors I got me a very decent "green dot" X 1 for a price much lower than the well-known brands, which I had trouble seeing their reticles. This one is 100% crisp, with unlimited eye relief. And it does not break the bank.

This is an EOTech replica/look-a-like good for plinking. I would not trust my safety to this on a home defense weapon. Not sure I'd use this for hunting. The reticle is too bright for hunting and the glass makes it hard to see your target in low light conditions (legal shoot just after dawn/ before dusk). There is no shake awake or auto off, so would have to worry about battery life if constantly on during your hunt or have to move to turn it on/off, which may not be ideal, for example in a turkey hunt with a tom within 40 yards. Plus the battery choice is not ideal if you need replacements and are in a remote hunting area. All that said, I think this is a relatively cheap RDS (green too) to add to your MSR that will make for a fun time at the range. Limited to that purpose I give it 4 stars.

For only $37, this sight is pretty impressive. I've used it on a bb gun without issues, and it's been fun to play around with a device that would normally cost hundreds of dollars. While I wouldn't use it on anything critical, it's a nice little piece to experiment with. The adjustable brightness works well, providing excellent visibility in daylight and good performance at night when dimmed. Despite the abundance of silly stickers and writing, they don't affect its functionality. Battery replacement is straightforward. Overall, this is a solid quality product, deserving of five stars given its affordable price of $37.

As a professional gunsmith I am asked to mount scopes or red dot sights on a daily basis. I can tell you that this red dot is the equal of and in some aspect the superior to many of the so called big names out there. It mounts to a picatinny rail solidly. The red dot or green dot according to your preference, is simple to zero and maintains its zero after multiple firings. If you are more interested in impressing the guy next to you at the gun range with how much you paid for your red dot sight, this is not the product for you. However, if you are an actual shooter and not a poser you know a good deal when you see one.

I got my 551 graphic sight and first thing I noticed was the box already had been opened and the batteries had been taken out of there package and installed and it says on the box and in every review you get picatinny rails with it and mine were missing the sight itself is OK but it projects multiple crosshairs on the glass it feels solid but it's for airsoft at best

Still will not work, did you check the batteries before it was shipped

Great sight for the price. The only reason I gave a 3 star is even with it off, it kills the battery.
