These are very good and well worth the money when doing remodel work. Things are never level and plumb. They are designed to be broken off at the desired height, and come in assorted thicknesses.

Always a big problem while shimming up projects is trying to get the right size, in place, and holding the shim steady while you try to screw through it. These come in so many increments, of size, and are built to lock together and you can apply them over a screw or push them in over the screw and they will stay put while you tighten the screw. The only problem is the packaging. Once you open it up the shims come out in force and fall all over and get all mixed up - good part, they are color coded making it easy to pick out the sizes easily.

good product. Just needed 16 of them. worked just fine sturdy for hanging top of the line dog door. Durability? Don't know. Only time will tell. Thank You.

woodworkers and handymen: just buy it i bought these because the youtuber Wesley Treat had these or similar and said they come in handy they do whenever i move a tool or bench in my shop, if it's temporary (like repositioning my bandsaw to cut something large and awkward) i can use one or two of the 1mm shims to quickly prop up whichever leg found the inevitable low spot on my wavy basement floor or shimming around a drawer front for an even gap used them last weekend as wall spacers for a floating floor install and a few more uses so far just buy them

They used to carry these locally at Menards. For some reason they stopped. Luckily I found them on Amazon. They're great for shimming stuff around the house.

These are good shims for the price. They come in 1mm, 3mm, 5mm, and 6mm thicknesses. They may or may not be perfectly precise but I wouldn't expect them to be given their price. They are sturdy and when shimming its often a guess and check approach so they worked fine for me. I needed a lot of shims to level a floor so I bought two of these packs and they worked great.

I liked using these rather than the standard tapered shims as you can find the right thickness needed and have the part you're shimming be held in an area the size of the shim rather than just the thickest part of a tapered shim.

These are my go-to shims, especially for cabinet leveling and for door projects. I usually buy them at my local hardware store, but decided to order them online this time. The plastic packaging split and they all spilled into the box but that’s my only complaint. These are a great shim to add to your toolbox and work well for many projects that the tapered wood ones aren’t quite right for.
