I LOVE THIS! Use this Bissel pet pee clraner with it … use as directed. I use straight water a second round . I like it extra clean! After you are done, I spray an enzyme into my carpet so that it can get to the pad. The enzyme is the trick to taken away the smell. spray bottle and I let it soak in and then maybe I don’t know after a few hours. I just quickly use water again and suck up the enzyme at the end without heating up the water. If you use an enzyme, the pee smell comes out 100%! But you need the Bissell carpet cleaner to get the stains out and a lingering odor that is in and on top Of your carpet plus pad . This Carpet Cleaner will smell like pee if you do not use an enzyme at the very end. Is what I do as I have an enzyme in a spray bottle after I’m done cleaning the carpet —-with the hot steam sucking it up everything—— I will use an enzyme on it. I use a spray bottle aimed close where the per used to be . I wait for the enzyme to soak up the pee smell and then I suck it out without hearing up. The water . Do not heat up the water . I just use this Bissell and suck it out and it will go through the machine it’ll hit everything and it won’t have a smell of ore anymore. Easy peasy! I love this and I do these steps ONLY all the time! Five star review for me because it’s PERFECT FOR ME! I can’t ask for more perfect…. there’s nothing else that’s works like this 🌞 BEEN THERE . I spent tons of money, trying everything else to free myself from dog pee in my existence. To the point of absolutely crying over it. My dog is like my child. It actually is one of my children so I was about to buy dog diapers for him. Unfortunately, this home has Carpet in our family room where we all gather together and watch movies. I can’t and won’t babysit him 24 seven to not pee in our family room . So…. .I will do this only. All of these steps for my entire life or my dogs life .. the end.🌞💯🌞❤️💯❤️ it’s so nice to be free from dog pee smell!!! no crying at my wits end!!!! 🙏🏽🌞❤️💯❤️🌞 !!! Yay!!! . I can’t rate this any higher than a five it won’t let me. Oh one more thing … the skinny attachment gets the edges of Carpet exceptionally well! My little dog will hit the edges of a corner in life too. This little miracle anttachment gets into the edges of a carpet next to the wall.. it works awesome!!!! Don’t think about it …. just buy it and do these steps! You will be so thankful you did!!! Oh, I tried this on tile grout. Oh my gosh, what a time saver! I will add that as well yo this -because when I clean tile, I like to really get my grout clean and I don’t have to scrub my life away! I didn’t get this to clean tile grout. I got it for dog pee ONLY on and in the carpet. I just thought I’d add that in to let you guys know it does more than that. Woot woot! Pictures attached are . Before - that is my dogs pee on and in my carpet .. into carpet pad too.. yes it’s horrible! Picture 2 and 3 during cleaning 2 photos .. pee in the tank that’s sucked out. Steam from the heated Bissel cleaner and water . Picture 4 is after. Is completely gone. Stains gone … completely! oh my gosh that Bissell cleaner gets it out so excellently and sucks it up and it’s gone! Bit …. I can’t stress this enough at the very end…. Use an enzyme soak it into your carpet into the pad then suck it up with the Bissell cleaner then everything’s gone in the carpet in the pad and the Bissell cleaner no pee smell it’s all gone. Will this help your dog not pee??? I don’t know maybe some but not mine. I’ve noticed little dogs tend to pee places in our home. We cant train them 24 seven for a full year sometimes … they just pee … some of them do that 😭. Instead of tears because we’re stressed out so bad …. just buy this! This is the longest review. I have left on anything because I don’t want people to go through what I have been going through for so many years with my precious dog .. and here in tears a lot and you want to buy dog diapers because you just don’t know what to do anymore! GET it!!! do these steps exactly and your tears will be gone the rest of your life! And to top it off, your Bissel green Little machine I don’t know what it’s called. This is the one that “heats up the water machine” . Anyway, just get it! The end!

I’ve had several different spot cleaners so far and this one is the best I’ve had. I don’t usually make comprehensive reviews like this, but I feel like this one deserves it. I looked into a few different spot cleaners before deciding on this one a few days ago and I figured I’d bite the bullet and buy the more expensive one, hoping it would be worth its cost. The carpet in our apartment is only 1yo. It hasn’t been cleaned yet, except for the occasional spot clean for spills. With children and a cat, I knew it would be dirty but after cleaning just a small portion of our living room, I didn’t expect to pull out this much (see pics). The area in this photo is all that I’ve cleaned so far, and it’s not a super high traffic area… yet this vacuum pulled out so much. Both pics are after cleaning - I didn’t get a before unfortunately, but with the carpet we have it would be hard to see a difference unless there was big stains. Pros: SO easy to clean and I was able to clean it well. If you are looking for one that’s easy to clean THIS IS IT. I have never gotten any of my spot cleaners’ dirty tanks as clean as I could get this one. The dirty tank lid comes completely off and everything rinses right out. The hose can be cleaned by dipping into a bowl of water and running it through the hose. I was tired and almost didn’t do this, but did anyway just in case and I’m so glad I did. I refilled the dirty tank with MORE dirty water and several clumps of hair JUST from the hose. I read some reviews on this claiming it didn’t extract much, however I disagree. I really doused some areas to test it out and after spraying, letting it sit for a couple minutes, then extracting, it was just slightly damp after. I except at this rate for the areas to be dry within just a couple hours. The steam feature helped me get out 2 pretty set in stains. Cons: The only downside I find with this is there’s some leaking around the nozzle spray button. I had to wipe it off a couple times while cleaning. If you’re looking for a good quality spot cleaner, this is a great option.

Five out of five stars. I highly recommend the BISSELL Little Green HydroSteam Pet. We’ve been using it around the house, and it’s efficient, effective, and incredibly convenient. What I really like is the combination of steam, cleaning solution, and powerful suction for tackling pet messes and tough stains. You get three cleaning modes—SteamWash, Steam, and Wash—depending on what you’re cleaning. It’s also compact and portable, so it’s easy to move around the house or use on upholstery, stairs, carpets, and even the car. Overall, it simply gets the job done. Great little machine and an easy five-star recommendation.

EDITED REVIEW: MULTIPLE UPDATES. Waited a few months to write this review to ensure it works as well as it did when I bought it. It doesn’t disappoint! This thing has POWER! It sucks the stain and solution up so dry time is minimal! There’s no leakage at all. I’ve used this more than 10 times and I have not noticed a leak at all. I do spend the time making sure I put it away nicely, and I do make sure I clean the attachments and hoses after each use. I love that it comes with multiple attachments for car and other furnishings. The size: let’s talk about the size. For being such a small, portable machine, it doesn’t skimp on power! I love that it’s not big, bulky or heavy! I can lift with ease. The speed is fine. I really haven’t seen any decline since I bought it. I really love the steam feature, but don’t put it near skin. Steam is hot. Please use common sense when using this function. I really love this machine for the car! It cleans my seats better than any other carpet cleaning machine! Being that it’s smaller, it’s not as noisy as most carpet cleaners, which is a plus for saving the ears! UPDATE: and as of today, 1/26/26 the machine stopped working. Won’t spray at all (SEE VIDEO) No matter what I do. I purchased it in June of 2025. I am absolutely disgusted that I spent $250 on this thing and it won’t even work now. UPDATE 3: I have to give kudos to Amazon since they offer product support for items like this. I found my way to Bissell customer support via my order here on Amazon. Within a few moments, I was connected to Bissell Customer Service. The rep was very helpful in trying to troubleshoot why my machine stopped spraying. When all efforts were exhausted, he decided it was in my best interest to ship me out a new hose and attachment cleaner head free of charge. I cannot be happier. This review went from 5 stars down to 1 (and I rarely do that) back to 5 stars for exceptional customer service!!! Hopefully the new hose and attachment works! TBC…. 3rd update: the new hose has continuously worked as hoped!!! Thanks Bissell!

THIS IS AN AMAZING LITTLE MACHINE as long as you get one that makes steam. Unfortunately, there are HUGE unit to unit differences in steam production! More on this later. We have no carpets in our house, so I can't speak to how it cleans carpet. But we have plenty of light-colored upholstered furniture. I HAVE FOUND THIS IS THE BEST DEVICE TO CLEAN UPHOLSTERY. It takes the furniture from looking dirty and old---to new looking again. (We have restored furniture purchased at "antique" stores using this product, saving THOUSANDS.) To use, you add water to the fill line the clean container, choosing either small or large job, then add cleaning solution to the designated line above. (I only use 1/2 the recommended amount.) Then you turn the machine on choosing steam alone, steam and spray, or spray alone. You are supposed to let it warm up until the indicator light comes on. The problem is that when the machine first starts up no matter what cycle you picked, it will spray solution and no steam. Aim it at a cloth until the output looks like the cycle you picked. The machines used to come with an additional part called the "HydroRinse Self-Cleaning Hose tool" which allowed you to spray into this special cap, which immediately sucked whatever liquid back into the dirty water bin, so you could press the on button until you knew it was warmed up and making steam. This is available for a few dollars ONLY AS AN ACCESSORY. Curiously, it is described in the user's manual but NOT INCLUDED. For cleaning large areas, I use steam only until the machine fully warms up, spraying into the "hydrorinse tool," then switch to the larger cleaning head, using the Steam + Spray cycle. I don't recommend soaking furniture; you can always go back and do it again. If you use too much cleaner, you will see residue on the upholstery when it dries. (Then clean again with just water.) It ships with a tiny sample of Bissell Pet Pro Oxy Spot and Stain, which does have a smell. It's not as bad as carpet shampoo in decades past, but it still leaves an odor (in my opinion) reminiscent of cheap theater seats. If you're like me and have scent sensitivity, I recommend you get Bissell Little Green Pet Oxy Spot and Stain "Free and Clear" which HAS NO DETECTABLE SCENT. For the tiniest spots or most delicate fabrics, try steam only first. If you have a large area to clean such as an entire cushion of a sofa, the Steam + Spray option would be better. Anyway, the machine does a great job on upholstery. On persistent stains on our white furniture, I prespot with a spray on peroxide-based spot remover, let it sit awhile, then clean again. When you've got a good machine IT REALLY DOES A 5 STAR JOB. I love my machine. But the quality control IS NOT GOOD. I have now had 5 of these units for 2 homes. (3 were from Costco, 2 were purchased here.) The first one stopped working after a few months, so I returned it for replacement, but it hardly made any steam. I returned it and got a great machine. We recently purchased another home, so bought another unit from Amazon as Costco stopped selling these. Hmm. Again, my unit hardly made any steam. I would not have known the difference except for my prior experience. I ordered a replacement from Amazon and am happy with the steam coming out of the new unit. OUT OF 5 UNITS ONLY 2 WERE GOOD. 2 MADE LITTLE STEAM, AND ONE LASTED ONLY A FEW MONTHS! Something is seriously wrong with their quality control. I recommend you buy this with caution. If hardly any steam comes out, you may have a defective unit. Save all packing material and send it back or perhaps consider the extended warranty. You will see reviewers who love the machine, and those who complain about lack of steam. Maybe they just got a bad machine and didn't know any better!

I bought this February 28th of 2026 and it stopped working by the middle of August. There are numerous reviews that describe similar issues where the unit will work 3-6 times max, just outlasts the refund / warranty window and probably winds up discarded. Since I'm well beyond the 30 days warranty, I'm stuck trying to diagnose and repair the issue myself or also recycle it back into the landfill. For what it's worth, Bissell does publish some videos on YouTube to try and troubleshoot the common problems and corrective actions, however my unit was broken in a way that wasn't covered in that basic content. My particular issue was that the cleaning solution would not be dispensed for more than a couple of seconds at a time. If I were to remove and re-seat the supply tank, I could get a couple more seconds of spray. This was regardless of the dial being set to spray, steam, or spray/steam combo. It looked like the supply tank wasn't delivering enough solution and was starving the unit of solution My fix was to place a small dot of UV curable resin on top of the plastic 'finger' that lifts the plunger valve up (open) on the supply tank. This extra length was enough to correct the issue enough for now and I was able to get 5 full tank uses through my carpet cleaner. I also lightly coated the rubber gasket with a safe mineral oil blend formulated for small vacuum pumps.

Great machine for smaller areas of your carpet. Easy to use. Sometimes difficult for the steam part to get working, but works well at wetting down then vacuuming up dirt and stuff. The drying time is pretty good if you are sure to get everything up. Looks much better. Would work well on car carpets

I got this to clean my sectional couch that is over 10 years old. Very easy to use. The water heated up quickly in order to use the steam feature. The steam does not dispense immediately. (I believe it took about 5-15 secs for it to dispense steam when I was using the wash and steam mode). The item is well made and is easy to move around. It is also easy to clean once you have finished using it. It does a great job at cleaning. I do have a couple of dislikes in regards to this product. 1) the cord for the plug needs to be longer. You would need an extension cord if you were to use this cleaner in the interior of your car. 2) the brush heads need a better method of latching on securely to the hose. It fell off two or three times as I was using it to scrub and clean my couch. 3) the suction needs to be greater. The whole purpose for me to get this cleaner was to have stronger suction compared to my stand up Bissell carpet cleaner. This one has the same amount of suction as my stand up Bissell carpet cleaner. I would rank the suction as low to medium. 4) the steam dispensed is not right away when you press the button. This causes a saturation of product with water/water & cleaner in one spot of the item you are cleaning. Overall a great product. It will be helpful when cleaning my cars carpets and wherever I need to use it to clean minor stains instead of using my stand up Bissell carpet cleaner. I do hope that Bissell will work on improving the suction for this! But, overall I’m happy!

Muy buena, dejo las vestiduras de mi auto impecables, tiene muy buena succión, ya habia tenido el modelo anterior y esta tiene mayor potencia, se secan mucho mas rapido los muebles porque tiene mayor succión, no especifican bien pero este modelo solo viene con 2 cepillos, el de 5 pulgadas y el pequeño, lo bueno es que hay repuestos de todo para esta máquina y otros accesorios aqui mismo en amazon, de todos los modos que trae para mi el mejor es el que combina agua con vapor, el vapor si sale caliente, yo no tuve problemas con fugas de agua ni nada parecido, espero que sea duradera como los modelos anteriores, aun que al dar 3 años de garantía, quiere decir que lo sera.
