Emotional Freedom Techniques—EFT for Christians: Tapping Into God’s Peace and Joy

When I first began to seriously look into EFT several years ago, I was completely unaware of any of the clinical research or scientific date backing it up. I wondered how, and even if, it was appropriate to use as a Christian. I was already familiar with the Tapping Solution but that was about as far as it went. So when I searched for information about EFT within Christian circles, the first thing I came across was the book, “EFT for Christians”, by Sherrie Rice Smith (which at the time was only available on Kindle) and “EFT for Christians: Tapping Into God’s Peace and Joy”, written by Sherri Rice Smith and Charity Virkler Kayembe (in paperback). I ordered both. I was super excited and encouraged just seeing that there were Christians out there utilizing EFT – and not just pew-sitting, Christmas and Easter going Christians. I didn’t know who Sherrie was, but I did know who Charity Virkler Kayembe was because I had, over the past 8-9 years utilized some of her father’s materials (Mark Virkler) in ministry, so I knew she was solid and that I could approach the book with relative confidence. I received both books and dove into both of them, but it was Sherrie and Charity’s book that impacted me so greatly. Going into it I had reservations and concerns that EFT was just more woo-woo, new-age type stuff but it was not long into the book that those concerns began to be put to rest. Not only that, but the book also showed me new possibilities of being able to facilitate others in other facets and dimensions of their healing journey. I was already actively engaged in prayer, deliverance and inner healing ministry, but this brought an even deeper application of some modalities and principles that I was already familiar with. Most particularly, working with limiting beliefs. The entire book was just so encouraging and by the time I finished it, I knew I was going to pursue learning about EFT and how to apply it, not only in my own life and the life of my friends and family, but also in my ministry. This book is the one I recommend to every person I meet (who is a Christian) and has questions about EFT like I did. I have noticed that most Christians are so afraid. And many shy away from anything that even vaguely, possibly, even remotely has connections to anything new age. For those, and any who are concerned as to whether or not EFT is an appropriate, safe, healing modality, I send them to this book and say, “Read this, and then let’s talk about it.”. It’s not an understatement in saying this book, (both EFT for Christians books) are ground breakers. I have so much respect and honor for Sherrie and her courage and willingness to be the literal tip of the spear in bringing EFT to the Christian community. At this point, I am convinced the day is coming (sooner than later) when EFT will be a commonly used modality in Christian ministry and counseling circles, as well as just being used day to day. I know that day is coming and I am excited that I get to be one of those who are able to bring it to those within the Christian community. Thank you Sherrie and Charity.

Excellent book both E.F.T and Gods Word used to help the healing process. Excellent for Christians. One of the best books I have read on healing because of what the author went through she truly want others to receive their healing also

I struggled with the idea that EFT could conflict with my faith. I knew that EFT worked and I loved using it, but was afraid to share this tool and its benefits wondering if it conflicted with my strong faith. After reading this book, even before I was half way through, I realized that God is the Ultimate healer, and this tool is a gift. The authors do a great job giving examples and reassurance that this tool is effective for everyone, including Christians.

I purchased this book when I found out many of my Christian clients were opposed to EFT.The book is interesting, but it came used which is gross.

When I start looking for information about tapping, I was turned off. I google Christian tapping, and this book came up. This book gives the basic foundation on how God has designed for us to use all His creative tools to be free in our life. This book made it clear that we can reclaim God's means and live free.

I had no idea how much emotion I held inside of me. Following this book unlocked emotions that were driving my life, instead of Christ . I was a slave to my fear , and this showed me how bad I was hurting. It has changed my emotional health in a way I did not know was possible. If you suffer from physical ailments, depression, addictions, or can't succeed like you want to....you need this book.

Great read! Perfect for dealing with emotional baggage quickly with an easy technique without the need for therapy. Great for believers!

Emotional baggage- we all have it in one form or another. What a wonderful way to free us from "stuff" that we have not even thought of that is attacking our health. Reading for the second time reinforces the life changing results we can receive from EFT .

Eines der wenigen Bücher, die wirklich bedeutsame und nachhaltige Veränderungen bewirkt haben. Leider gibt es nichts Vergleichbares im deutschsprachigen Bereich, wenngleich EFT natürlich auch hier von vielen Therapeuten und Ärzten angewandt oder empfohlen wird. Die Kombination mit dem biblischen Wissen ist genial.Persönlich profitiere ich noch 2 Jahre nach dem ersten Lesen davon und wende die Methoden teils im Coaching mit großem Erfolg an. Absolut empfehlenswert!
