Received this costume yesterday and I LOVE it! Be careful of the sizing! As is the norm with Halloween costumes, they run VERY small! I wear a size 6-8 jeans and usually a medium in tops and ordered an XL. It fits perfectly. It comes in two parts, the blue satin dress with lace trim, and the apron. The apron is HUGE! I can loop it twice around my waist, BUT it does therefore have the potential to get the perfect fit. I will be pinning the straps. It is a very flat costume, and to get that real "alice look" I ordered a leg avenue knee length petticoat which gave it that gorgeous poof shape. If you do not wear a petticoat, it will sit probably just below your knee (I'm 5"6). The back of the dress ties at the top like a hospital gown, with three velcro fastenings down the back, the skirt section has no openings but to be safe, I will be either adding a zipper, or pinning it shut as it will gap if I do not. Overall its beautiful, comfortable and appropriate, not hoochy at all, which is good, considering I will be wearing this to a party with about 300 kids and senior citizens!

I bought this a couple years ago for a Halloween party at college. I didn't want to wear anything slutty and I had the hardest time finding a modest Halloween costume. I am 5 feet 3 in. and the dress fit me for the most part. The length was down to my knees and so I was very happy about that. I have a small bust and short torso, so the apron straps were too big and long, but it wasn't a huge problem. I just adjusted with some safety pins. It is very thin fabric and so I also wore white tights and a short slip under the dress. But overall, not a bad costume. I hope to wear it again one day :)

This was a very good quality costume. My only comments on it was that it was much smaller than you might expect. I followed the advice of the other reviewers and bought a bigger size. It was for my daughter who usually wears a small-medium and the large fit just right. It Velcro's in sections along the back, so you may need to use pins or a shirt under it. The apron is a separate piece but it didn't sit flat on the back, so we simply pinned it and it worked great. This was the only modest Alice costume we could find and the material was a lot more substantial Han any we could find at the Halloween stores. It was perfect.

The costume is cute. It's pretty much as pictured, but the fabric is more shiny. I bought an XL, which according to package and size chart fits a size 12-14. I'm about a size 12. It was too small - by quite a bit. I had my teenager try it on, who's a size 4 or 6, and it was just slightly big. I would guess the XL is more for someone sized 6-8.

I ordered both a Large and XL. The Large fit but was a little more snug than I preferred. But the XL was smaller/tighter than the Large! So I returned the XL. I thought maybe it was a fluke and ordered another XL but again it was smaller/tighter than the Large. Since I need an Alice costume pretty soon, I've kept the Large. It will do for what I need but I do you want to say that the quality is not the finest, as others have indicated. But I don't think I expected it to be at the price. My biggest complaint though is that the back of the dress uses two velcro spots and a tie at the top of the neck for closure. This really isn't ideal since the apron does not cover the back and so you can see in the back that it is just fastened together by velcro. Since it is slightly snug on me, as I mentioned, this means that the velcro could pop open if I shifted the wrong way here or there, not to mention that you could also see some of my back in between the velcro spots. The tie at the neck also felt and looked awkward. So I asked someone who is good with alterations to change it to a zipper and button for me. That makes it work for me now. It paired it with white tights, black mary jane shoes and a black headband and I am good to go, even though it still feels slight snug. I wish the XL size had worked out to actually be larger than the Large.

I bought this costume for my 17 year old daughter. Love the fact that it was almost to her knees, unlike most other Alice costumes, which are very short. She wanted it so she could rip it up and be a dark Alice but she loves it so much she doesn't want to rip it! Like other reviewers said it does run small; she's a size 3 in jeans and a size med fit her perfectly. It is see through but that can be easily remedied with blue tight shorts and a blue tank top. Also the Velcro probably won't stay closed but I'm just going to sew a few clasps back there. Even with these adjustments it's a great costume for a teen or adult who doesn't want that "sexy" adult costume.

The dress fits BUT, there is only one velcro fastener for the dress, at the top. So, the rest of the dress is wide open, unless I want to spend the time and money to sew velcro onto the dress. I shouldn't have to do this an the dress will be returned. And, I ordered the same dress in smaller size, and there were several velcro fasteners down the back and the skirt had a nice petticoat sewn in. This one has only lace trim, so it wasn't even the same dress. Very disappointed and won't ever order from this store again.
