A Phenomenal Suspense-filled and Character-Driven Story
Teka Legacy kept me on my toes from the beginning to the end. I kept turning the pages to see what happened next and I was incredibly rewarded with masterfully crafted plot twists and a beautiful, romantic ending. I loved the realistic but heartwarming romantic arc of the main characters. I fell in love with them and it was a refreshing surprise to not only fall in love with them but to also fall in love with the secondary characters. I hope this is the beginning of a series and I can’t wait to see what happens in the lives of the other members of the Teka family. If you’re looking for sweet, wholesome romance, suspense, unforgettable characters and a thought-provoking story, don’t hesitate to check out this book. You won’t regret it!!

Love it
Thoroughly enjoyed this sweet romance. I hope it's the start of a series because now I'm invested in what happens to the secondary characters.

An idealistic view of love, family and faith
Dee Osah’s “Teka Legacy” is a Christian romance combining faith, family and emotions. The story follows Phoebe Randall and her prospective fiancée, Zephaniah, for whom, things don’t turn out as they’d hoped. Phoebe meets the Teka family, whose unconditional love and support transform her life: the title refers to the enduring impact of the Teka family’s support. The authors (husband and wife) maintained my interest throughout, weaving a narrative more than simple romance. This is an exploration of regular struggles, personal growth and second chances. There is an underlying incorporation of religious themes, such destiny and divine intervention. One of the book’s strengths is the eclectic blend of personalities. These are characters that are easy to relate to (and understand) and they provide the depth the story needs. The authors successfully capture life experiences, which allowed me to empathise with the characters’ journeys. However, it’s sometimes difficult to follow each of the people in the large cast, the story is occasionally a little pedestrian and there’s something not quite right about the timeline. Yet, I think the unpredictability of the narrative will keep you on your toes.Despite the presence of tragedy, “Teka Legacy” is an optimistic book. It kept me engaged from start to end (I read it over a sunny weekend on the beach). This is a nicely written book with a message that goes beyond romance: for me, it is an idealistic view of love, family and faith.

Heart-warming
The same kinds of words keep cropping up again and again in the reviews that I have seen of this novel: heart-warming, wholesome, sweet, safe, etc. And that’s a good summary of what the book is like: a light contemporary romance, free of explicit sex, and with more than a hint of a Christian theme, which makes you care about the characters and their futures. The book begins with the main character, Phoebe, believing that she is finally about to receive a wedding proposal from the man of her dreams, and I’m not giving any spoilers if I say that things don’t go as planned. The authors (a husband and wife team) do a good job of maintaining interest and tension throughout the novel and the conclusion is, yes, heart-warming. If you don’t normally like books of this type, you probably won’t enjoy this one; but if it is your thing, then go for it!

Lovely wholesome romance
This is a wonderful wholesome read that reflects real life and incorporates a tender, very sweet romance.Phoebe had been in love with Zephariah for years, so she should have been over-the-moon when he finally proposed to her. But something just doesn't feel right. With a scar constantly reminding her of how dangerous life can be, she flutters like a wounded bird that wants to fly with its head under its wing. But then she meets the Teka family and her life begins to change. Teka Legacy is a heartwarming, Christian, family saga. A really lovely read. PS. The picture at the end of the book made me smile so much - what joy!

brilliant book
"Teka Legacy" by Dee Osah is a very captivating piece of romance. The narrative is heartwarming and combines romantic elements with themes of family and faith. In many regards, the book exceeds what is a typical romance. Rather, it offers a poignant exploration of struggles encountered in everyday life, along the little things that cheer you up, personal growth, and the transformative power love and faith can hold. The story follows Phoebe Randall, who is a high school counselor with an unknown, rather mysterious past. Her life takes an unexpected turn when she becomes entangled with the family of a student. One of the novel’s depth lies in its rich character development and credible portrayal of life’s challenges. Each character, whether a main or secondary one, is vividly brought to life and attains their own voice.Osah moreover incorporates biblical truths and themes of fate without imposing them on the reader, which makes it suitable for a broad audience, irrespective of their beliefs. With its mix of drama, romance, and subtle twists, "Teka Legacy" is perfect for anyone seeking a wholesome, feel-good story.

Heartwarming entanglement of family, faith, and romance
Teka Legacy by Dee Osah tells the story of an idealistic woman and a family who are brought together through a serendipitous series of events, and their journey to find peace, happiness, and security. It is a heartwarming entanglement of family, faith, and romance reminiscent of "Hallmark Movie Channel" movies.Although bland at times, the author's storytelling enticed this reader to turn the pages and partake in the journey the characters would embark on even though where the characters would eventually end up was quite predictable. In true Hallmark movie fashion, the story was slow to build, and therefore slow to capture my interest. However, as it went on, I became more engrossed. This was in part due to the slight twists and turns of the plot, the endearing qualities of the main characters, and the intuitive feeling that I was cautiously being taught about the challenges of a culture that I have had limited insight into.Yet it was the family dynamics of the Teka's that truly pulled me in. We seldom get to choose who our family is, and because of this, we may take them for granted or set unrealistic expectations, ending up hurt, angry, or disappointed. The Teka family, a diverse group that was "hand-picked" to be put together, loved each other despite their differences and their challenges. Using the physical and emotional scars of both the female and male protagonists, the author formed the foundation of the transformative path that all would have to travel, each in their own way. The "family" was in no way perfect, but showed that they were perfect for each other. So much so that this reader began to wonder if Teka Legacy is not pure non-fiction but largely based on the personal experiences of the author, or someone quite close to her.The sometimes poorly demonstrated parallel timelines, and repetitive sharing of internal thoughts, led to my not having high expectations for this book. I was pleasantly surprised. If you are looking for a light read, and will not be turned off by the blatant Christian theme, or clean mushiness, you just may be surprised too.

Great character work; simple and effective writing.
This story is good, clean light reading with depth to its characters. More than just a romance, but a refreshing perspective on how people deal with everyday struggles, learn tough lessons, how to give others we are cold to a chance, and how in doing so, love has a chance to meet us along the way.One particular highlight for me was its eclectic blend of personalities. If one chapter in a character’s arc is on hold, there is always someone else with an interesting story beat or quirk to latch onto. Also, the effortless way the writer captures life experiences I have not known personally, in a way that has me easily feel and understand what the characters are going through, rather than being left feeling distant from dry or mechanical writing. Also, how the writer shows the way God’s subtle nudges can unexpectedly weave their way into our circumstances without turning the story into a sermon. If you’re looking for a wholesome story cut from everyday life, in which you find people who were once disparate begin to laugh, cry, and fight together and grow in very moving ways; to see people dig deep within themselves and find a way out in hard times, this book is for you.
