Bought one of these fans worked for thirty mins then nothing. Waste of money

The thing simply can't stop working - it is activated by the heat from the stove, so it can only stop if the stove is not hot enough or there is something stopping the blades turning. Have you dropped it? When cool check if the blades turn freely and that the place where you use it is in direct contact with the stove top.

Hi, looks like the fan body is Aluminum, possibly that fan blades are the same material. best contact the manufacturer for information.

Does it work? Stove is close to the door and would like to push some heat into the hallway.

Well, yes it does. But the stove will have to be running quite hot to feel any benefit. I have 3 fans on my stove, you can feel the difference when you enter the room with the fans running. Don't know if it will force that much heat into the hallway. If you are expecting results like an electric fan heater you may be disappointed. Hope this helps.
