I've had my GE Dryer for around 18 years and have never had a problem with it until now. Recently stuff was getting randomly stuck at the top front of the drum, socks, underwear, hoodie strings. Then it started sounding like it was full of squeaking bats when it ran. I thought that maybe this was it, it has been a good one, but I did some research and landed on this kit.My dryer model is DRSR483ED2WW. It was easy to replace the parts. My dryer is against a wall on one side and the washer on the other. I didn't even need to move it. Two screws to take the top off and two screws to take the front off. I didn't even have to disconnect the light, I just swung the front to the left. My belt looked good so I didn't use that but am glad I have a spare now. The rest of the parts went right in no problem. I definitely needed this kit, my pads were gone and it was eating into the plastic, hence the squealing. I cleaned up any lint I could get to, put it all back together, and now it is running well and as quiet as it has ever been.Overall it is what the dryer needed and I'd recommend this kit.

The bearings on my dryer where the drum sits were basically gone. 2/3 were just a small piece. these fit perfectly in the machine. The felt on my machine was also really messed up so this replacement was perfect. I did not intend on replacing the belt but after I got this kit I decided to. I'm glad it came with it because my belt was about ready to break in one spot. Easy install. detailed instructions can be received by text look for the little business card at the bottom of the box!!!ONLY ISSUE is the replacement plastic piece did not fit in my machine. No issue with that piece other than fitment. I was able to use my old one with no issue. this kit was cheaper than buying individual pieces so it was not a big deal.

Fit like it should! GE direct replacement.Very easy to install, but does need a little bit of mechanical know how, because the belt can be a little tricky, mostly the tensioner wheel. But overall, super simple. Took about 45 total minutes including cleaning.

For anyone looking to fix a squealing sound in your older top-loading GE dryer (years 2002-2014 I believe per GE)…. This was a perfect replacement for my 2009 top-loading GE Dryer. Learn from my mistake. Our 15 year old dryer started a high-pitch squealing. I first replaced the idler pulley and belt, but that did not fix the issue. It was clear then that I needed to replace the drum slides. At first, I only thought I needed to replace the drum slides themselves. When I went to replace the drum slides, I realized that the drum bearing itself had disintegrated. Do yourself a FAVOR and use this kit, as it comes with the OEM slides, bearing, drum belt, and other parts, which are quite expensive when purchased directly and independently from GE. I can guarantee you that your drum bearing itself (if over 10 years old) has broken over time, as it is cheap plastic. So, go ahead and replace the bearing, too. And while you have the cabinet open, I would recommend replacing the idler pulley (sold separately) and drum belt (included). This is a great value. And don’t worry, it’s honestly not that hard of a job. Look for Repair Clinic YouTube videos on how to make these repairs. Also, remember that the two green slides go in the top two slots (11 o’clock and 1 o’clock position). The white ones go at the bottommost slots on either side. Good luck!

Ordered on Friday, received it sunday evening. Installed it, and it worked perfectly. I believe the parts were genuine GE kit. I needed my dryer fixed quickly and this tube up kits was exactly what i needed. I had a bad squeaking dryer ( super loud) the bearings were shot, the front frame was starting to break, my belt was also ready to go, and i figured i would just replace the felt piece while i was at it. All these part fit perfectly. I completely took the drum out and cleaned inside the dryer with a vacuum. You just have to make sure to see how belt is on there, before you remove it. I looked it up on YouTube. Dryer worked way better than before. Dried much faster and quicker.
