If a band can claim squatters rights, then Deacon Blue can take ownership of the charts. Their first album Raintown set the precedent, spending 77 weeks in the album chart, and with five top 5 UK albums (of which 2 were number 1) under the belts they have chalked up an impressive 4 years in the British album charts. Their seventeen top 40 singles resided in the chart for more than 2 years. They may be serious about creating timeless songs, but are never afraid to have fun with the live experience, challenging the strength of the world's concert hall floors for bounce-ability . This live DVD and accompanying album (P3MCD018) was recorded during their sell-out 2007 tour of Europe. Like many artists of quality, the success did not come overnight. A commitment to live performance built a solid fan base, and despite the fact that the first release of Raintown was met with critical rather than commercial success, a re-release following extensive touring, meant the album spent 77 weeks on the UK chart. Raintown was the first of five top five albums, with Dignity the first of 18 top 40 singles. Six million album sales were the backbone of Deacon Blue's lasting success and now they remain one of the most popular touring bands, with tickets for live performances rarely available for long. 1. Your Constant Heart / 2. Your Town / 3. Your Swaying Arms / 4. Chocolate Girl / 5. Every Time You Sleep / 6. Raintown / 7. Loaded / 8. Queen Of The New Year / 9. James Joyce Soles / 10. When Will You (Make My Telephone Ring) / 11. Real Gone Kid / 12. Wages Day / 13. I'll Never Fall In Love Again / 14. Dignity / 15. Fergus Sings The Blues. One for the collection...
Quite a coincidence receiving this DVD today exactly four years to the day that Graham kelling passed away..he is still missed.. The DVD is worth getting for the excellent interview session alone during which Ricky and Dougie make particularly poignant comments on the life of one of the founding members of DB. Otherwise good extras, brilliant sound reproduction and slick editing make this a worthwhile purchase especially as the band took nearly 20 years to get this together since ' The Big Picture'. Go get it !!

Simply Brill
Having seen DB for the first time in Guildford recently, decided to get this to remind me how good they were live. Not disappointed. Only downside is stereo sound only (No 5.1 DTS or Dolby Digital MIx). But other than that, just perfect!

Deacon Blue - wow - what performers. I saw them recently in Liverpool and their live act matches and surpasses their most amazing studio work. Great video for fans and newbies alike.
