Is this compatible with pc & desktops and will it work on usb 2.0

Works on my Windows 8.1 PC and I have heard it working on a Windows 10 PC as well. It is backwards compatible so it works in a USB 2.0 Port as well.

You cannot utilize USB 3.1 without a modern mobo and processor, huh?

Backward compatible to 2.0, but if you want the 3.1 speeds then yes you have to have the supporting infrastructure.

For read it says up to 130mb/s but for write it says up to 15x faster than standard usb 2.0 drives, how fast is that exactly in mb/s?

I tested with CrystalDiskMark and it was about 22MB/s. Mine is the 32GB model so the 64GB model will probably be faster. These tiny drives typically use the same memory that is on a cheap microSD card, so they are pretty slow.
