Easy to install. I used this on my storage shed where I store my Suzuki M109r. You’ll need to hit up your local hardware store for 4 carriage bolts, washers and nuts as they aren’t included. My advice would be to give yourself about a 3mm gap between the plates before drilling. Super secure. Heavy duty lock. I love it.

great product! I will be using these on sea containers that will be sitting on an oceanfront lot. I appreciate the robust and durable looking finish. heavy, at least 1/8" thick steel. YOU NEED TO BUY THE BOLTS! Welding is stronger but you get corrosion right at the point you want strength, whereas the bolts will not corrode. I guess you could do both. Anyway, don't forget to get the six 3/8" carriage bolts each.

I was looking to purchase a fairly secure lock and hasp to use on my tool shed since I have started keeping several items in it that used to live in our garage. Due to the tool shed being fairly remote, I am sure that I would not hear anyone entering it during the night. The shed came with a locking handle that would probably keep the honest neighbors honest, but anybody seriously looking to steal stuff could defeat the lock in a short while. This lock and hasp combination is well made and appears that once properly installed would be very difficult to break into. Bolt cutters would be useless to use to defeat this lock. The only way that I can see to gain entry would be to saw around the hasp and if someone wants in that badly, they will find a way, no matter what.

A couple of days after installation, a useless thief tried their best to break into our shed. There were all kinds of pry marks and scratches, but they failed to get in. They did manage to get a screwdriver or small pry bar behind the lock and pry on it, but it held great. It did however bend the 2 clasps the lock attached too a little and they smack against each other now when I close the door, If there was a way to keep from getting behind the lock with anything, they would have been unable to do anything but fuss and fume! Great lock!

Checked it out at home store. They wanted too much. Great delivery, astounding lock. Install per instructions. Bolts and washers for sure! 35 minute install start to finish . Use on storage shed along with 2 hidden locks. Get an extra key from local locksmith, I stash one in my garage. Lock weighs a ton, can be used to smack a robber senseless. Not a suggested use. Measure twice, install once.

Received, installed, and works as it should. Taking off 2 stars: -1 for the lack of key hole cover/black plastic shroud as pictured in the listing. and -1 star for not mentioning that it didn't include installation hardware/bolts. I had to make an extra trip to Home Depot to buy Stainless Steel (not cheap) bolts, washers, and nuts to complete the installation. The hardware cost me an additional $20 or so plus time and gas spent going to HD. I didn't know that and had to factor it into my expenses. Plan accordingly.
