Review: Solved a unique problem! - Up and running in minutes. I needed a way to display my security camera on the TV (picture-in-picture window) since the system doesn't interface with any controllers. I was able to send the signal from the video recorder's HDMI monitor port through this converter to a $5 modulator and then out to the TV over coax on channel 3. It works beautifully. I expected more signal loss due to multiple conversions, but the picture is actually pretty good. Very pleased...

The only issue seems to be leaving them connected to power 24/7. They will heat up after several days and stop working. To avoid the issue I disconnect the Fire Stick and Converter from power when I turn the TV off.

Up and running in minutes. I needed a way to display my security camera on the TV (picture-in-picture window) since the system doesn't interface with any controllers. Bought 2 of these to use with Amazon Fire Sticks on 2 older TVs. I bought some of these to plug the Fire Sticks and these converters to power: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076NQM7GM/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_10 The converters work real good and I have great audio/video quality. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Let me make good use of an older TV for my laptop

If you were hoping to watch high quality picture movies on an older TV, this probably isn't for you - but if you want to turn an older TV in to an extended monitor on a new laptop - this works great. Received it, plugged it in and it worked. I'm now able to extend the life of a larger flat screen TV that didnt' have an HDMI input.
