ColorStay Suede Ink Lipstick, Feed The Flame

I’ve tried two shades of the ColorStay Suede Ink Lipstick (Feed The Flame and Gut Instinct) and while the overall formula is excellent, the results do vary depending on the shade. In terms of performance, the wear time is impressive across both colours. Once set, the lipstick lasts for hours with very little transfer and minimal fading. It feels lightweight for a long-wear matte and isn’t overly drying, which is a big plus for this type of formula. Gut Instinct is the standout for me. The colour is beautiful and very flattering, and it matched my expectations perfectly. It applies smoothly and evenly in one layer with no patchiness, and looks great throughout the day without needing frequent touch-ups. I’m genuinely very happy with this shade and would happily repurchase it. Feed The Flame, however, was more disappointing in comparison. The colour leans much more coral or orangey-red than the vibrant true red shown in the product images. It’s still a nice shade, just not what I was expecting. I also found the coverage to be less smooth on first application and it needed some layering to even it out, especially on drier areas. Overall, the formula itself is long-lasting, comfortable and high quality, but shade accuracy and initial coverage can vary. I would strongly recommend Gut Instinct, while Feed The Flame may suit those who prefer warmer, coral-toned reds rather than a true bold red.

Perfect brick red lipstick. Applies a little strangely as it is a very dry lipstick, but does not feel drying when it's on the lips. Stays on a treat, and barely transfers. This formula is like a liquid lipstick, in an actual lipstick tube. I'd recommend

Nice colour. Texture is alright and good value for money as I got it on a deal. It is a lovely burnt orange with red mix which is lovely. It does stay on but if you eat anything it does wear off very quickly

Great colour that lasts. And I say that as someone who drinks a lot of coffee and water at work! Nice and creamy. Highly pigmented. Out performs some of the more expensive brands I use. Suspect would be even better if I could be bothered to use a lipliner first. For those looking for an authentic 90s colour, as an oldie can confirm this is close to what we wore back in the day.

Colour as advertised. Doesn't feel dry on your lips when it sets. Colour stays put for hours. Tested on a nightshift, eating and drinking etc and colour stayed for 8hours+ brilliant product

Poor quality

Me encantó el color y la textura. No es totalmente indeleble pero dura bastante, yo creo que unas 7 horas y eso que comí y tomé un frappé. El color es tal cual la imagen, es mate y me gusta que al instante se siente como si fuera parte de tus labios, no se siente astringente ni seco. Volveré a colorar en más colores, estuve buscando mucho tiempo una marca de labiales que me convenciera y al fin la encontré y por el precio y la marca, la verdad se merece un 10.

Absolutely the best matte lip product I have EVER come across… YES THAT IS A HUGE BUT TRUE STATEMENT! I say this bcuz on me most matte lip products dry my lips out horribly and beyond belief. I literally can’t stand to wear them beyond trying them on, bcuz my lips feel like pieces of beef jerky glued onto my face after matte products are applied. ;) So, I am always on the look out for new matte lip products. This one tho, this one here: is THE Winner. With it’s lip primer they have built in, I can actually wear this product and I do. For a long amt of time also! Plus, It doesn’t transfer. & The Color is AMAZING!!! I absolutely adore the shades “WANT IT ALL” & “IN THE MONEY”. Ones a more tomato deep/red (not a pink red). The other one is a more muted deep med pink beige (& I never wear that shade), but it’s such an amazing shade for every day wear. That I adore it!!! I LOVE these BOTU and will probably buy back ups of these amazing shades as they are THAT great! (& no I don’t work for these peeps nor have I been paid, this is just my own honest opinion & experience w these. I also bought “bread winner”, which is a nice shade of cool toned, blue based red. It is nice and great on (whiter teeth not yellower), but alas, it was just a tad too much of a bright red- red (for me), unless u r out on a date where u want fire engine red lips. So I have to my daughter lol. So all three of these shades are amazing but the first 2 I mentioned are my favs and the most stunning and I ADORE THEM!! Again, (these suede ink lipstick products), They Don’t transfer, they do last a long long while on, and they don’t give you that utterly nasty and horrid matte lip look after a few hours either. U know what I’m referring too… The built in primer they have here too is a really amazing thing I swear, cuz this stuff just works and feels decent on your lips and a really deep red that doesn’t transfer or dry ur lips to beef jerky just wow!!! So For me, that’s a MIRACLE, & I am ecstatic! The Only side I can see is that this line doesn’t have a really diverse or extensive shade range… Well that’s it hope it helps! P.S.
