This is the way I applied his: I shampooed my hair with a sulfate free shampoo Then I towel tried it, sectioned my damp hair. Applied this to the sections. I noticed I didn't need much of the product at all. I would take a quarter size and that would enough for half my hair (I have mid back length hair). I rubbed the product in my hands and applied it to my hair, focusing on the ends. Then I put on a shower cap, I waited about 30-45 minutes and rinsed off. And wow!! Hair felt so lightweight, smooth and looked very shiny. I don't think my hair ever felt so light before. No weight down what so ever! Then I lightly brow dried my hair and my hair looked very shiny and insanely smooth and soft. You could tell the hair was just so much more healthier. I love this product and can't wait to use it again! On a side note: I have thick, curly, Indian hair. I do use flat iron, my hair does have some highlights and my hair is dry with some split ends. I am trying to grow out my hair and that's the main reason I bought this. So I could really repair and moisturize my hair so it's healthier. I do snip my own split ends. Avocado oil works great too. You can mix some oil together, add a little bit of a warm water and put it on your hair for a good 1/2 hrs. Wash it twice with your shampoo. You are good to go. Fan is really bad for your hair, it damages it like that. This was is by far one of the best as it's packed with loads of ingredients that are catered to dried and damaged hair. I dyed my hair last summer 4 times in a row (literally) so my scalp was an absolute disaster. I could barely comb it while washing it in the shower and don't even get me started on all the oils I'd apply before washing my hair. This smells incredible, makes you want to sniff it for hours and immediately breaks down any tangles, stiffness in your scalp and gets the job done splendidly. I like how it's recommended to apply on damp hair for just 7 minutes and in the mean time I do my other shower steps. A bonus tip from me if you have time: apply on DAMP towel dried hair, place a shower cap over your head, wrap a towel around your head and leave the mask on for a good 30 minutes. This will help the product absorb deeper and provide intense hydration.
