Sturdy and strong. This ladder was easy to fit and setup. using it regularly is good with simple operation. It is better than a aluminium ladder and quieter. It is stronger and will last a long time. I have fitted two of these and the first one was fitted 5 years ago and still good.

I would say well worth the money if you have spent most of your life climbing up dodgey step ladders or cheap alluminium ladder to get into your loft . Brilliant , you would need to be half decent at DIY to fit them , but not that hard . All good but one tip for you as I fit mine , The springs catch on the side frame when you open the hatch , so what you need to do is bend the top section of spring out after you have installed the thing so they dont catch . If you install it yourself you will know what I mean . Great kit , A Buy in my opinion .

NOTE: Once you have accept delivery of this product any fault found that requires return postage will be at your own cost. This is highlighted on a label I saw only after waving the delivery man good bye. May be not a problem normally but was for me. When I unpacked the hatch I found a damaged corner were the laminate had been chipped off. This appeared to be due to a machining error and I'm suprised it got through quality control. Due to the cost of return postage I decided to repair the fault rather than return. The synical side of me suspected this product could be a second and therefore the low price... I have no proof of that but... If you can, at least check the hatch on delivery and don't accept if you find any damage. May be I should have complained... That aside; the hatch is easy to fit and looks good when fitted after fitting my own architrave. It does not come with any trim/architrave pieces. I suppose this is subjective as you may want to match trim to your own woodwork. It is easy to use and feels solid and safe when in use. I can now be in my loft storage space in seconds rather than having to undergo a caving trip to access my old LP collection. Was humming and hawing over whether to buy this or a cheaper aluminium loft ladder, but went for this one at the suggestion of our builder, and on the strength of internet reviews indicating that it was much higher quality, safer and likely to last longer. Very pleased with the product - solid, well-engineered, confidence-inspiring when you're lifting bulky or heavy items into the loft, and well worth the extra cost. Recommended.

Easy to put up and is sturdy, proper treads that don't hurt your feet. Very pleased with the product

A good ladder. Easy to fit once you've got your head around it. The instructions were fine. Only gripe is that the frame was damaged from being poorly put together. It is held together with long staples and they had missed and broken the corner joint. I had to remove and reinforce with screws. Not a huge deal as you'd never know now it's in place but its a pain in the rear. I've not used the ladder extensively so only time will tell. Would be 5* if it had been put together properly...

Great quality loft ladder. Solid and safer with the handrail. Relatively easy to fit, however not a one man job to position.

As with all Youngman products, these timber ladders are very well made and feel very secure to walk up and down. Easy to install and looks tidy when in place. Just needs some architrave trimming around the edges for a neat finish and then you're good to go!
