I buy my gear on the cheap (and in need of repair) because I am a beginner learning to surf (and repair boards) and I know that I'll probably abuse & break my board while I learn to surf. These are "FCS style" plugs. I bought this plug pack because I needed a leash plug, had a timeline/deadline, and this item shipped to me faster than items from other sellers. The leash plug is 30mm diameter, 13mm deep, has a flat bottom with a V-shaped waist (like a dental filling). The leash plug has a stainless pin, but DOES NOT have a sand-down top section (no tabs to level it to the deck height) so precise hole depth and carefull installation is a must. Since it's going on a 10'6" longboard, I will probably glass it in as well. The fin plugs DO have sand-down tops with deck level tabs (25mm/1" diameter, 20mm total depth--16mm installation depth + 4mm sand-down section on top). The set screws ARE NOT stainless. The comb is ~4 cm x 8cm with small teeth and a shallow curve on the short end for the rails. This is a budget kit. If you are repairing a beater board to learn on or you're attempting to build your first board, then this is a decent kit for the price. If you're doing a pro-quality build or a repair on a high-end board, then pass on this. You get what you pay for and this kit met my needs for my beater longboard that I'm learning on.

Bought these plugs to fix a busted left side fin system, and they worked great. Very pleased with the product. Good price too.

Received the Shaper Pack ahead of schedule (which is always a fun surprise!) Love the bonus multi-tool (wax comb, bottle opener and hex key). Will be buying from Surf and Snow Warehouse again. Side note: If you are a stickler for reading reviews just as I am then know that I highly recommend. I rarely leave feedback, but because the owner was nice enough to reach out I figured I would let all of you fine people know how i feel as well. :)

Fin key broke immediately when trying to screw in fins and the screws didn’t hold the fin secure. I ended up having to glass the fin in to work. Spend a few more dollars and get quality fin plugs.

I wanted the FCS for my board shaper in Ecuador to add a GoPro mount. Have to thanks my friend that brought them here in his luggage. Had to wait a while and now that I have it here it works great! They were ship in a timely fashion with in the US and they followed up to make sure all was good! Thank you!

I bought the Shaper Pack to take to Mexico, where a friend of mine makes custom surf boards. I searched everywhere, and these "plugs" are exactly what he needed.
