Absolutely love the big capacity of this chopper
After using another brand of food chopper for years until it literally fell apart, this one was an absolute upgrade in every possible way. Honestly, my old chopper breaking was a blessing because it led me to the Brieftons QuickPush Food Chopperโand I couldnโt be happier with it. The container capacity is a total game changer. Itโs more than double the size of my old one, which means fewer batches and way less mess when prepping onions, fruits, or veggies. I also love how easy and convenient it is to switch out the blades, and the fact that it comes with three different blade sizes makes it incredibly versatile for everything from fine chopping to dicing. One of my favorite features is the keep-fresh lid. Being able to cover leftovers directly in the container is such a smart, practical addition and saves me from transferring food to another dish. Everything about this chopper feels sturdy, well-made, and thoughtfully designed. I truly love this product and am so happy with itโhighly recommend to anyone looking for a durable, high-capacity, easy-to-use food chopper - and for the price it literally cannot be beat!

I absolutely love this product
I absolutely love this product! Normally I use my food processor to chop things, which is alright, but it doesn't get those absolutely perfect cuts. This gets absolutely perfect cuts. I've been using this for a couple weeks now to make salads, and the device has held up very well. In all honesty I thought that a 19 dollar chopper would break after a few uses, but it's just as good as new still! The square blades don't look very sharp, but please don't let that fool you. I've sliced my fingers a few times because I used my finger to try to get a bit of extra food off, or rested it on there. Also, the little plastic brush you get with this is absolutely useless. I used it once, and after one very gentle pass through it broke. A stiff kitchen brush does the trick though. These are my thoughts on the veggies I've used it on so far: Mushrooms - Don't use it for mushrooms. It cut the mushrooms perfectly and I had the world's most amazing looking mushroom cubes, but oh my was it a total pain to clean. The soft mushrooms get stuck SO EASILY in the green grid at the top, and it took a solid 30 minutes to clear it. Definitely will be using the food processor for mushrooms still Onions - If I only got one food to use with this, I would pick an onion. All I did was cut it in half (thirds or quarters for larger onions), put it on the chopping part, and got diced onions without any tears or hassle. Since the onion already has rings, it makes it probably one of the easiest veggies to chop with almost no prep. Bell peppers - Absolutely perfect as well. My one minor issue with the bell peppers, is that they need to be cut down to size a bit to fit completely in the square part. If they sold a larger version of this, I'd buy it right away so I could just put a whole section of bell pepper easily Cucumbers - Same thing as bell peppers. Once they're cut a bit to size, you can just throw a piece on there, slap it down and get perfect diced cucumbers. I'm sure you could also do cucumber strips, but that's not usually what I need so I haven't tried yet Cherry tomatoes - Doable, but be careful! The tomatoes tend to roll onto the sides of the cutting area and get pushed down strangely. They also get EVERYWHERE because some of them will pop and explode. I found tomato bits 2 days later on a wall like 4 feet away from where I was. I can't wait to try it with normal sliced tomatoes though, since I don't think they'll have the exploding and sliding problem. Even with the mess it made, dear god were the tomatoes absolutely perfect. After sitting in the container for a bit while you chop more tomatoes, the juice naturally separates from the tomato bits, and you can spoon out tiny little perfect tomato pieces. You know how nice salsa looks when it doesn't have a ton of juice and seeds? Think that. It's fantastic. Carrots - I'll stick to grating them in the food processor. It's not that you can't use this, it's just that carrots are quite hard and you need to put a lot of pressure to cut it, so it's way more work (for me, I'm not strong) than just chopping by hand or grating in the food processor. TL;DR: -It's perfect for medium hard veggies like bell peppers, onions, or cucumbers. -The softer the veggie, the more of a pain it is to clean -The harder the veggie, the more pressure you need to cut it, so it might not be worth it.

Product is economical and easy to use, clean, and store. Seems sturdy.
This chopper suits my needs. It is easy to handle and to clean. I have had choppers before that were too hard to use but so far this one has done the job with little effort. I have arthritis in my hands and the way this chopper is designed means that any stress points are in the palm of my hand and away from the thumb joint. The way the leverage works means that it doesn't take much effort to chop food. It is a good size for storage in a small kitchen. The compartment under the blades comes with a lid so I can chop ahead and store in the 'fridge. It is economical enough that someone like me can afford to have some of the convenience of expensive food processors. An added benefit that I didn't expect-- it came while I have the flu. Not wanting to stand in the kitchen and cook I had been making due with ramen noodles. I just used the chopper to quickly fix a nice vegetable meal and clean up after. I foresee that this device will lead to healthier dining even when I am not feeling so good. A note about the sellers... they seem to have a real interest in the outcome of their product and have made available recipe books and other informative ebooks about the health benefit of natural foods. I haven't had any problems with their products but I get the sense that if I did they would be friendly and approachable. I was just going to add that I was chopping some medium sized red salad potatoes. It was really easy to chop the whole potato without pushing very hard at all. The only time this chopper seems to hang up is when any part of the item bulges over the plastic surrounding the blade grid I tended to get discouraged until I looked close and determined that all it needed was a little trim. I like this device a lot. I had a nice potato soup that day. Another add on. Yesterday I made short work on four large onions. I quartered them so they would fit on the grid and chopped away. It was the fastest easiest onion chopping I could imagine. I make a big batch of soup and this particular chore is one reason I put off doing it. Not such an objectionable deal now.

Time saver
I had fun trying out my new Breiftons chopper today. The chopper itself is well made and feels durable. The bowl the food lands in is nice and deep. It also does not slide around on the counter top. The top fits securely on the top and was easy to press down. The blades are fairly easy to change but be very careful they are very sharp. I had to put a little strength into lifting the blade to change it and fumbled it a bit when it came out. This resulted in a cut finger. I used the chopper on apples, red pepper, sweet potato and an onion. They all were easily done. I do wish the blades had more surface area as the apples and veggies needed to be cut down to fit in the allotted space. The chopper works quickly and is great for when you have to do several fruits or veggies quickly. Cleaning the chopper was easy. The chopped food can easily be stored in the base with a storage cover that is provided but that leaves the top and blades free. I stored the chopped food separately so that I could store the blades in the chopper bowl instead. It would be great if it had a separate caddy to hold the blades that are not in use. Overall, I am very pleased.

Very Useful Addition to the Kitchen
While there are many other styles of choppers on the market, finding something to chop large quantities of onions has been problematic. Very small batches can be quickly done with a "slap chop" style hand chopper. But that gets tedious for large batches. Food processors and blenders tend to produce bitter tasting onions. This chopper works well for large batches of onions while still being easy to clean. I've also tried it with eggs using the largest grid for a cobb salad and the middle grid for egg salad made with mayonnaise. Both came out well. The receiving container is a nice plus when you are doing a variety of veggies for a single dish - think cobb salad or vegetable soup. The ease of use is enhanced by decent ergonomics. Easy to assemble/disassemble. Smooth chopping motion that requires little strength and no torque on hands or wrists. The little cleaner brush works very well but you may want to keep a kitchen brush available to clean out the corners of the blade grids. A few other minor caveats. Anything you want to chop must fit on the blade grid or else your food won't chop. If you want cubes, use food slices the thickness of the grid you are using. The quality is serviceable enough - especially at the price - but Lastly, the blades on the top side are sharp. Take care when cleaning and handle from the underside where the blades are intentionally left dull. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase. It fills the need it was bought for.

Saves me so much time and onion tears!!
I love this kitchen item. Chopping onions is my LEAST favorite thing to do. My eyes are sensitive. I cry easily from it. This chopper has been a game changer for me. It saves me time too. I use this chopper to make potato salad and it saves me a bunch of time AND My salads look so uniform and professional. I do have to create reasonable slices, even for onions. But I press the latch down and bam, my food is collected in a nice container and I keep going. Making chili is now a snap. Chopping veggies is so much easier now than every before. I also donโt have to worry about knife cuts. You DO have to stay the heck away from the blades on the inserts though. Donโt touch them. They are seriously sharp. So far Iโve used this to chop veggies for soup, stew, chili, salad, potato salad, and for pickling veggies. This works great for making pics de Gallo and salsas. Iโve even made a ragout with it. One of my best kitchen gadgets that not only saves me time, it saves me onion tears and cleanup is a snap. I rinse the blades well, I use the tool to clean the grid on the lid, and it goes in the dishwasher. Love this item! Update: I had a problem with one of the blades (the one that makes the largest cubes). I contacted Brieftons via email and had a response within 24-48 hours. They sent me a replacement which arrived about 10 days after my contact. Very easy to deal with them and Iโm back to chopping with ease!

So Simple and Yet So Outstanding!
I have been using the QuickPush Chopper everyday for about 1 week now and I am stunned to find myself describing somethign as simple as 'a veggie chopper' as being "Outstanding". I say "Outstanding" because: 1. The design is simple, uncluttered, unfussy and effective - simple to use, simple to clean, simple to maintain. 2. The manufacture is of a very high standard and is all the plastic and moving parts are robust, and the steel blades are sharp and also robust. 3. The effectiveness of use is consistent across a wide range of foodstuffs - soft, squishy, ripe tomatoes through to tough, thick sweet potatoes, turnips and cleriac; hard leafy cabbage to soft leafy lettuces; dense winter squashes and softer, summer squashes; onions, leeks, fennel and shallots; apples, pears, bananas and mangoes. Quality. When I watch adverts promoting American household items the main 'selling point' usually seems to be "time saving". Well, I live in rural France and, although I am British, I love cooking in the French-style. Quality and consistency are the critical success factors in French cuisines, not speed or convenience, and here is where I see the outstanding benefit of Brieftons Quickpush Chopper. The shape, size and consistency of chop, irrespective of the foodstuff, is fantastic - far superior than anything I can manage with my best Sabatier-K knife. (And, by the way, in a fraction of the time!!) I have been surprised and delighted by something I bought initially as an 'extra bit of kitchen kit', primarily to help my otherwise non-cooking partner, when they do make an effort to rustle-up a "spag-bol" or veggie casserole. This 'extra bit of kitchen kit' has rapidly turned into 'an essential bit of kitchen kit' and could well be putting some of my Sabatiers out of work! I strongly recommend the Brieftons QuickPush Chopper. PS - The Brieftons Spiralizer is fantastic as well!

Great product
I have been using this chopper since 1 month and I'm really happy with it, I tried another one before and since it had a lot of stuff I wasn't satisfied. This one instead it's easy to use, have multiple sizes that fit perfect common needs but does one thing and does it well, I used it to keep our most used vegetables before frozen them.

Cuts well, easy to use
This chopper is robust and has sharp blades that easily cut most foods. It assembles and disassembles quickly and easily, and the hinge is constructed in a way that allows the lid to be easily removed so everything can lie flat in the dishwasher. The cutting blades are held firmly in place during use, but are also quick and easy to insert and remove. I usually rinse mine straight after using it (I use it only for vegetables) although I do sometimes also put it in the dishwasher. Food pieces don't usually get caught between the pusher pieces, but if they do, there is a handy tool supplied to help remove them. I am happy with this food chopper and expect to be using it for many more years.
