Wonderful suggestions but horrible editing
This book is filled with wonderful ideas for early childhood educators all the way through 1st grade teachers. I am now a kindergarten teacher and will be using the suggested strategies in my own classroom this coming fall. My only complaint, and the reason that I rated it a 3 is because the editing is horrible. I do not mean only one or two typos, I mean one or two per page. It took me longer to get through this text than it should have because I was so distracted by the constant errors. As this is their 2nd edition, they should have hammered out the kinks by now. Sadly, if I were a college professor teaching a course on the project approach, I would not use this book solely because of its mechanical errors. Ladies, if you need a new editor, please call me! Prior to teaching, editing was my passion.

Step by Step Guide
This book outlined step by step how to implement a project approach in your classroom. It discussed why it was important to use this approach. It gave several in depth examples of projects. It also discussed pitfalls that teachers can fall into. I think the most helpful part of the book was that it gave specific advice for teachers who are new to project approach. The book was easy and enjoyable to read!

A valuable tool for all!
Excellent book for teachers and administrators who would like to integrate project learning in their curriculum. I ordered 20 copies for our teachers and it has been our guide and compass as we learn about the wonderful benefits of in-depth investigations in the early years. It has valuable information and is very easy to follow and user-friendly. I highly recommend this book!

Fantastic book
This is the best book for developing excellent science explorations for young children. Tap into a child's natural curiosity and let them learn. The project approach is the only way young students should learn.
