FE REFERENCE HANDBOOK,9.0

A must for anyone studying for the FE. Be aware that there is PDF version available for free online. I encourage using the PDF at least some of the time because you can practice using the find tool (ctrl F). On the exam that's how you'll find your equations, with the find tool. It's much different from flipping pages & being familiar with what page/section the equation is in. I liked having the physical book to accompany the PDF version, because I don't always bring my computer when I'm studying. It's a distraction to have my computer open.

This book is a very helpful reference for engineering students. You can get a free PDF copy on the NCEES website, but I think that having a hard copy is much more useful as a reference for studying, doing homework, projects, and exams. For under $30, every engineering student should have a copy.

This is a must have whether or not you are preparing for a FE or EIT exam and even if your not. Just plain excellent as a reference manual. My only complaint is that they might improve their mathematical section on the quadratic equation concerning ellipses etc. Some improvement o n the higher mathematics.

I took 3 weeks familiarizing myself with this handbook just to get an understanding of what all is in there. I also got a practice exam through the NCEES website. I worked through 20 problems a night leading up to the test and using handbook to help. It really helped me feel comfortable when finally taking the FE exam.
