Great bit of kit!
I’m the biggest sceptic when it comes to ‘security door bells’! Having a few of the security including ring, most of them have been pretty rubbish. Ring was ok but costly! However, I have to say it Eufy have ticked all the boxes. It works and does what it says on the tin. It’s a great little security camera, angled, picks up and sends alerts to my phone to which I have a conversation if necessary. Excellent picture including night time camera. So far 10/10. Best one ever! I probably would look any further and defo worth the price!

Excellent eufy Video Door Bell
Super Simple to install and set-up. It took about 10 minutes from opening the box to having this streaming Video to my Mobile and that includes downloading and registration on the eufy App. Great functionality and a variety of set-up customisations that make this a superb option for both a doorbell and video security deterrent. The spit camera view has the capability to set detection zones to ensure you only receive appropriate notifications. Motion detection can also be limited to human or set for all motions including cards & pets. AI extracts clear facial images for personnel identification. Highly recommended as there is NO Cloud account costs and you can also share notifications across other family / friends through the eufy App.

Good deterrent to trespassers
Bought when it was on sale. I chose this specific camera because our front door has a couple of steps up to it so other cameras wouldn’t cover lower down, where parcels tend to get left. We had had a couple of items stolen from our doorstep so this was meant as a deterrent. I also didn’t want to get locked in to a subscription service like Ring. The positives: I feel it works as a really good deterrent for people who might be trying to access your property for nefarious purposes. When the camera detects movement a light on it comes on to show it is recording, which is even more apparent at night. Recordings are clear and good quality. The app is easy to use. We’ve set up alerts from the app to our phone so we know when someone is on our drive or has rung the doorbell - very handy when you’re in the garden! The bad: Getting a second battery is pretty much essential. Battery life is reasonable but it takes a few hours to recharge and unless you have a spare you are without any sort of doorbell during this time. Getting the alert sensitivity set up was a bit of a faff to strike the balance between not getting a push notification every time someone walks past your house and not knowing when there’s someone in your front garden. Setting zones is your friend here. If, like me, you went for the doorbell alone without the base station on the understanding it would work with Alexa devices, there are some issues. There’s a noticeable delay - up to 5 seconds - between the doorbell being pressed and the audible alert going off. Sensitivity also seems to be variable - sometimes you get 20 alerts in the space of 5 minutes because someone is taking the bins out, whilst the same day someone can walk up your driveway without it triggering (this doesn’t happen very often to be fair). The function of using the app to talk to someone at your door (telling the postman where to leave a package when you’re out of the house etc) has never worked that well for me - you need to have a good internet connection on your phone and even when it works the lag is such that the person has probably left before you manage to speak to them.

Superior to Ring in almost every way
I got sick and tired of the connection issues and battery failures in my Ring 2 doorbell, and I was attracted by the local storage when combining this with the Homebase. I've got to say I have been very pleased with the speed of responsiveness on the app when the doorbell rings or parcels are delivered. The second camera for parcels is an excellent addition and works incredibly well. The connectivity seems so much better than all the Ring doorbellss I have owned. The battery charging from my hardwired chime is also much better. Dare I say, perfect! The one issue I had was with connecting to Alexa. Which is why I say better in almost every way. I like to have my home assistants announce when the doorbell rings as my wife is hard of hearing and we have a garden office so this works with the dot we have in there. This is the only dimension where Ring scores better, the seamless connection to Alexa. Initially Alexa only detected the Eufy Homebase and not the doorbell connected to it. One call to Eufy support and they fixed it. Had to disconnect my skill and reconnect it ( which I had tried before) and this time it found both the Homebase and the Doorbell. Again the speed of notifications on all my Alexa devices is very good. Just a second or two behind when the doorbell rings. I can safely say that a week in, this doorbell has successfully solved all the issues I had with Ring. Plus I am no longer paying a subscription. I also discovered Eufy is owned by Anker which is a company I have a lot of excellent power banks, speakers and headphones from and like very much. If you are sick if constant problems with Ring like I was you will not be disappointed with this. Only problem is I need to fill the holes left in my wall by the Ring fixings. The Eufy doorbell is much sleeker with 2 fixings and sadly there is no way to match any of them to the old Ring template.

Wanted this to be good to upgrade from Ring, but it promises much but fails to reliably deliver
I wanted this to be great, to get away from the Ring annual subscription, reviews said it was, but it isn’t. The good - it’s a digital doorbell with all the functions your would expect, but also has a separate camera facing the floor to spot left parcels and will alert you about them and keep an eye on them. Plus it stores video locally on the doorbells internal memory so no subscription needed. Swappable battery, though you do need to buy another one as the swappable spare. The bad - there is a problem with this doorbell which seems to be something deep down in its hardware or software, it doesn’t always pick up motion. I’ve had random days when it’s failed to detect any motion at the door, including residents leaving and returning, along with a number of different postal deliveries it them missed throughout the day. This despite it having a setting switched on to inform of motion detection and this being set to specifically alert to humans and set to maximum sensitivity and the doorbell provided a specific activity zone to monitor, I.e. the path in front of the door all as recommended by their customer service team. As it cannot be relied on to do half of its job then it’s not very secure to my mind. They provide a little sticker for you to pop in to your window showing that you are “protected by an EUFY security device”, It should say “you are protected if I feel like working on this occasion!” I also bought a spare battery to swap out the battery, as the built in battery and having to lose my doorbell when placing it on charge, was one of my biggest hates on my old Ring 2nd gen unit. The doorbell was going through a battery in less than a week on any off high quality settings, if lowered to less than maximum performance then it lasts a bit longer, may get a week or so, but in my experience you will spend you life and your electric bill constantly charging and changing the battery. There customer service statesmen it should last about 6 months on recommended settings, it in my experience it doesn’t. The Amazon integration works when it’s feels like it, but the required Alexa EUFY security skill has a rating of just 1.5 stars of 5, with many reviewers moaning that the motion alerts supposed to come l through their Alexa devices not working. I experienced this also, having 5 echo dots around the house and with the app set to announce motion and door bell presses at each device, sometimes a motion if, detected at all by the doorbell, would activate only on the EUFY app but with all Alexa devices remaining silent on the matter, sometimes a motion would activate only a single echo device and other times (less often) motion would announce as intended on the app and all echo devices, but not often enough sadly. I think there is a deeper fault for this device, there seems to be a fault at a core or software level and I wonder why they are not bothering to fix it via a software / firmware upgrade and fix the shocking poorly rated Alexa app integration, seems like they don’t care. I speak from the experience of having thoroughly tested 2 brand new units, as the EUfY customer service team were kind enough to send me a brand new replacement when I first contacted them with concerns over the original device not functioning correctly and burning through batteries. They sent me a brand new unit, which functioned as intended a few days before the same problems affected that new replacement device too. Got to hand it to EUFY, their customer service team were willing to send me yet another (third) replacement, but I think it’s a deeper problem as 2 brand new units have had exactly the same issue, so I would avoid this unit until EUFY sort their act out, as in my opinion this unit is not fit for purpose currently and I am returning now and heading back to the safety of a new Ring device with a swappable battery and will have to suffer Ring’s awful subscription plan, as I tried to get away and switch to EUFY, but sadly EUFY have really let me down with their seemingly flawed E340 doorbell. Great promises and intent, poor execution and delivery. One final note is the “locking” device of this doorbell, it’s rubbish. The doorbell clips in to a plastic holder/mount which is nicely screwed in, all good so far, but the unlocking device to release the doorbell from this screwed in mount is a small hole at the top and EUFY provide you with a long pin to stick in this hole to unlock and remove device or replace the battery. The device can be also unlocked by pressing the end of a paper clip in the hole or a cocktail stick or anything long and thin really. There are suggestions of finding a suitable screw and screwing that in to the hole online, but it makes you wonder why the manufacturer can’t think of that or make their device more secure. If you are not using the additional Homebase device for additional storage, then the video storage is held in the internal memory directly on the doorbell, a doorbell that can be stolen very easily if you can find something to pop in the release catch hole, like the end of a paper clip. Not overly secure to my mind and another big floor.

Great video doorbell with no fees!
Great video doorbell. Very clear even at night. One thing to remember though is that you do need a chime to go with it, so had to buy this separately as didn’t realise. Couldn’t get it to connect to my Echo Dot but otherwise it’s all good. Pretty easy to set up. Has internal memory so haven’t bothered with a memory card as just deleting the videos bi-daily when not needed. Presume you can download to another device but not tried this yet.

Initial setup, so far, is horrendous. Hopefully BAU is better. (updated)
I can't yet comment on this on a day-to-day basis but setting this up was the worst setup experience I've had with a new device. It refused to connect to my Eero network, even in legacy mode and with 5Ghz disabled. It refused to connect to a wifi extender running at 2.4hz. It eventually connected to my phone running as a hotspot but then happily connected to my normal wifi, howver the doorbell said it was fine but the app said it wasn't. This took more than an 90 minutes. Then connecting to Alexa said it was succesful but then didn't work. Then we tried again and it did. I had previously installed a Ring doorbell somewhere else and thought that it was a pain in the arse to set up but this is a whole new level. On testing it appears to ring on some of our phones and alexa devices but not all of them. Also, when testing you hear about 3 seconds of audo at the doorbell then it cuts off and they can't hear you and you can't hear them. I'm hoping that this settles down. Updated comments: OK, since I installed it it seems to have settled down and is working as expected. The camera quality seems good, it's alerting with Alexa and now alerting on both our phones (initially I had set it up with the app on both phones using the same account, but it works properly if each app has a different account and you invite the second account from the first. It's also now working fine with Alexa. The wifi issues aren't exclusively related to Eero devices, but having researched it it does appear that Eero is commonly a factor. As Eeros are pretty common and often (at least in the UK) given as free routers from ISPs that needs addressed somehow. I didn't realise it had a night light, which is actually pretty handy as it lights up the door handle as you approach, making it easier to put your key in (although you do get a little night-blind as you walk in and nearly step on a cat! :-D ) I have to give credit to their customer service. Almost immediately after posting this they were in touch asking if they could help of if I wanted a refund, which was very decent of them. I declined since I felt it dishonest as the device does appear to be doing what it should and I intend to keep it. I upped my star rating from a 1 to a 3 as although as a device it seems to do what it says on the tin and I can't fault their customer service, but that initial setup is awful. I work in IT so I was prepared to try stuff to get round it and search on forums for suggestions, but if you're not you would really struggle. If the setup was better I would give it 4.

Sorry Amazon, but WAY BETTER than a RING.. and no subscription!
We had a RING (like most people I guess, after recommendations from others). Bought the kit with video doorbell, internal sounder, spare battery, and internal sounder / extender.. all in all just under £200, but then we discover you have to pay another £50 a year to actually be able to use it properly! Super-stroppy RING customer services when I called up to ask about this too, so not impressed. Anyway, it started off ok and yes it is a novelty having a new video doorbell, but after a few months we were changing the battery almost every 3 weeks (and this was after tuning off a lot of the 'battery draining' notification features). In the winter we were lucky to get 10-14 days out of the battery, and our front door is recessed to not totally exposed to the elements. We put up with it but then came across the Eufy system at a friends house. Very impressed, works a treat, and has a home hub system for storing video and clips etc.. so no 'taking the pi*s' subscription. (FYI they do offer a subscription if you want that as a backup, but it is optional, not required for your system to function, and costs way less than RING). So far batteries are lasting a decent time (maybe 5-6weeks between changes). Ours has a dual camera for both human visitors and a lower viewpoint for parcels.... or delivery drivers that try to crawl up to your door without being seen :-( ?? The lower camera can detect parcels left at your door and let you now.. and will also ping you when the parcel has been taken. Install is straight forward, and literally guides you through it (the devises actually speak to you telling you what to do). There is the usual masking features, sensitivity settings, people / pet / car detections etc.. and an AI face detection feature too but I haven't set that up yet. Notification are good and the hub works a treat. It does take a few seconds to view a video clip when your phone pings, but we found no real difference in time between that the the RING cloud service (when it worked). Seems very well built, the tech works a treat, the home hub is a great idea and can even be extended by adding another drive if needed. The hub can connect / control other Eufy devices such as CCFTV, robot vacuums etc.. Would I recommend over a RING? For sure. Way better.

Dobry dzwonek
Dwie kamery, głośnik, AI, wytrzymała bateria i super wygląd to główne zalety. Dodatkowo braku jakichkolwiek opłat miesięcznych. Wady to niedopracowana AI bo nie zawsze rozpoznaje osoby i wykwywa ruch poza wyznaczonym obszarem co jest irytujące. Aplikacja do obsługi średniej jakości z błędnymi tłumaczeniami i błędami.

Great Build & Clear Image, Call Quality & Volume Need Improvement
Overall, the product quality feels excellent. It can be directly wired to the home’s existing power supply and works with the original indoor chime. The image quality is also very good. Call quality could be further improved. There is significant noise on the mobile app side, especially when it’s windy, and the doorbell speaker volume is rather low and ideally should be louder. Hopefully, it can stand the test of time with long-term reliability.

Ottimo prodotto e assistenza top!!

Excellent Video Doorbell – Easy to Install and Great Video Quality
I’ve been using this doorbell for a while and I’m very happy with it. The installation was quick and straightforward. The dual cameras provide a clear view of both visitors and packages. Video quality is excellent during the day and at night, and motion detection is accurate with very few false alerts. The app is easy to use, notifications arrive quickly, and the local storage is a big advantage since there are no monthly subscription fees. Overall, it’s a reliable and high-quality smart doorbell. Highly recommended!
