Wind Chimes for People Who Like Their Neighbors, Give a Thoughtful Memorial Gift or Love it as Your own Unique Outdoor Windchime, Made of Aluminum/Bamboo, a Beautiful Deep Tone Chime

Personally, I am not a huge fan of wind chimes in general, so this item was never really something I enjoyed hearing all the time myself. However, my wife absolutely loves it, and that alone says a lot because we have actually kept it hanging for years. One thing I will give this wind chime credit for is durability. Despite being kept outside for a long time, it has continued holding up and functioning without major problems. The bronze appearance and overall construction still look fairly nice outdoors, and the pentatonic chime sound definitely creates the kind of relaxing decorative atmosphere that people who enjoy wind chimes are usually looking for. Even though the sound personally is not my favorite thing to hear constantly, I can still acknowledge that it serves its purpose very well and has lasted much longer than many outdoor decorative items tend to. Overall, while it may come down heavily to personal preference regarding the sound itself, this has been a durable and well-lasting outdoor decor item that my family has continued enjoying for years.

Just received it and my family pulled away from what they were doing to come in the livingroom to enjoy the lovely sound! Put it in our backyard and we are all very happy with it!

I've been stuck at home for weeks now with a newborn and a toddler. I need a moment of peace in my life. I was looking for wind chimes: not too big, deep tone [not high pitched] and a variety of colors. These chimes were perfect, with a couple exceptions. The chimes come with two wind catchers. I assume the larger one is heavier and will take more effort for the wind to blow and therefore chime less. The smaller catcher is lighter and moves around easier and thus creates more sound. However, both the catchers are solid wood and relatively heavy, it takes a good amount of wind to catch them. I wanted chimes that would make sound even in a gentle breeze. As another reviewer did I replaced the catcher with a thin piece of 4"x4" plastic. I cut out a square from a new package of drill bits my husband had just bought. So it's just a simple square of clear packaging plastic. It's not pretty by any means. I'm thinking I may paint something on the plastic, seal it and rehang it because the plastic looks janky. It works though! The sound is beautiful, ethereal as someone else mentioned, but as the description states they are chimes your neighbors won't mind. That's because the sound is very VERY quiet. As beautiful as it sounds, [truly, it sounds like a soothing song someone would play on a chakra bowl during meditation] I wish it was louder. With the windows closed I can barely hear it. When I am outside I live near a somewhat busy street and the chimes fight to be heard over the noise. But nonetheless the sound is so beautiful that here I am... ordering a second one for the back yard. I'm addicted. It's beautiful. It just needs some improvement.

I literally just hung this up on my front stoop, on the awning overhang, and I just had to order another one! It's chilly in Chicago today, but I cracked the front window just a few inches to hear it...I'm sitting 3 rooms away towards the rear of my house, and the sound is lovely!!! Unlike a lot of you, mine came with the large wind catcher attached...It seems that's plenty...(but saving the small one, just in case...) I hung it with a strip cord, through the loop at the top...It gets mighty windy here, and it's going to go crazy...so it won't be real easy to remove it (will just have to cut it)...I'll still save the hook provided...and as many here have said, this would be a great gift to someone! I just hope I can remember that when the occasion comes up! I'm not really sure what difference the smaller wind catcher would make; I don't believe I saw it in the information pamphlet...and like others' here have stated, it came beautifully packaged...they also supply their email address for any questions/concerns, and appears it's owned by a small family...so I believe you will get a quick, and personal response...Thank you for letting me FINALLY finding the one I've been looking for...I have 3 others...1 is beautiful, but makes no sound...one is cheesy looking, and sound not anywhere as lovely as this one...and the last one just had to go!

I bought this chime because I wanted something outside my condo, to soften the traffic noise and generally make things more pleasant. My previous chime fell apart under the assault of wind, sun, and snow. It wasn't a carefully thought-out purchase, and I figured nobody would even notice it after a while. After six months, I find myself wanting to share my joy with the world of Amazon shoppers. The chimes are consistently melodic, cheerful, sweet. They aren't obtrusive, but - as their blurb claims - they just keep ringing out various random major chords. I subliminally keep recognizing snatches of music, which my mind must be searching for and retrieving without my intending it. I live among a dozen condo units, and NOBODY has complained, even when a windy night sets them sounding at 3 am. I guess their sweetness causes them not to interrupt sleep, but maybe facilitates it. So far, I don't see any hint of wear, although I suppose that may be better judged after the chimes have suffered a few more Michigan winters. One of the best (luckiest) purchases I've made from Amazon, over my 23 years as a customer.
