Bulk Milled Spices Nutmeg 500 g

Our bird table and hanging bird feeders were being decimated by squirrels and having read an article on the Internet saying squirrels hated the burn of cayenne pepper but the birds weren’t bothered by it , I thought I would try it . We have more than one squirrel hunting in our garden and one by one we are seeing less bird food stolen - so far , a great product !

I've been adding a tablespoon of chilli powder to stews I cook, mostly using supermarket products, which tend to be smaller sizes and quite expensive. I purchased this chilli powder, keep it in a jar on my work surface, beside some tomato powder, and when I do my stew I pop a tablespoon in :-) it is a large stew, giving a nice kick to a basic meal :-PI would comment that I am adding less of this chilli powder to my stews than I had to add of the supermarket varieties, it, in my view, being stronger and if I'm honest a better taste, so I'm very happy with this chilli powder.

Bet you're surprised at the heading! Well the squirrels are eating my bird food. I don't really begrudge them but they just eat so much and it ends up costing too much. I read that squirrels don't like chilli but the birds can't tell the difference. I used a small jar like you would use in your home cooking and tried sprinkling it at the feeder holes, but that wasn't terribly successful and would work out very expensive so I thought I'd buy it in bulk and mix it in with the feed to deter them. This 1 kg bag should last a while I reckon.

My Mother was buying Cayenne Pepper to help with her heart problem as advised by a herbal expert and she finds that It does help her leading up to her operation. She was paying £1.87 for a small jar which lasted no time at all, so I decided to get her the 1kg bag and she Is made up about the money she will save as well as not having to keep remembering to buy the small jars. Did not know the health benefits of Cayenne Pepper until she told me to look It up, which I did and thought that Is the best £11 I have spent for a long time, especially If It helps her along till her operation. Bargain!

I love smoked paprika and thought it was impossible to have too much. I was wrong, a kilo is pushing it, I'm getting a bit fed up of it. But then when I see how much a small jar is in the supermarket I remember why I bought a kilo.It'll probably last longer than the flavour but still better value than the jars by far.

I use this to deter cats from messing on my lawn~~~~Cats hate it.It sticks to their paws and burns there tongue when grooming.I love cats, but hate cleaning up after them.Cats soon learn to do do their business else where.They sniff the red powder, and move on~~~~~success!Now everyone is happy.Nb~~~I also use it when cooking, a good dual purpose product~~~~Thank you

More economical bulk buy of fresh smoked paprika arrived quickly and was well packed. (I ordered turmeric also and that is equally good). Goodbye tiny and vastly overpriced supermarket spice bottles that need replacing far too often. This pack and the turmeric have been decanted into large recycled glass storage jars so even look more attractive than untidy mini bottles which tend to scatter on my shelf. If you don't cook spicy food as much as me, then share a pack with a friend. I'll be returning to this supplier for more but not for a while since 1 kg is quite a lot!

This is Spanish grown paprika, supplied in a 1kg bag. A plastic tub would have been easier as the bag isn't resealable so you'll need an airtight container to store the spice in one you open it.This is a mild, slightly smokey paprika which works very well as a stroganoff or similar. If you want heat then it's worth combining with a little chilli powder as this is extremely mellow.Much cheaper than buying in supermarkets, and you can use amazon subscribe and save to nab 10% off (just cancel the subscribe and save immediately if you only want one bag).
