the cable is actually included
This product is great. I was initially annoyed that a cable connecting the hub to my Mac Mini was not included. Months later I bought a SAT drive and when I installed it I discovered the cable tucked away in the hub where the drivew goes. Doh!

Solves the Expansion Issue Easily
Simple to install on my M1 Mac Mini, added a 1TB Crucial SSD and was up and running in 6 minutes. Attractive to see under the Mini, looks and works just as expected. Extra USB ports handy and easy to access. Very happy.

You can't install taller drives into the device.
I love it except I didn't realize it couldn't fit a 5 TB drive. It has to be 9mm or less in height I think. A 5 TB is 15mm so it was to high. I have to return the drive and put a 512 GB drive in :( Otherwise, I love having these new options. I'll probably make the drive in the device a boot drive because the 256 GB internal drive makes an awful boot drive.

Fast delivery and the extra ports I needed.
Quick shipping. So far this is working well with my Mac Studio.

Functional and Accessible
This hub was easy to setup and provided the layout of additional ports I've been looking for. The attachment cord is provided and the drive slot is easy to access. Very simple, no-nonsense hub. No issue setting it up and it serves my purposes just fine.

OK for extra connectors, not good for hard drive, not worth the money I paid for it.
There were too many disconnections from the computer using the stock USB cable that was provided by manufacturer, the connectors started to work fine after I replaced stock cable with high quality thunderbolt cable from OWC. The harddrive connection however gets still disrupted even with the new cable few times a day, I would never use this for keeping a system hard drive there, only a data drive with occasional use. The speed of access to HDD is fluctuating, sometimes it reaches advertised numbers but other times it gets very slow, down to around 10 Mbit/s at most, it looks like they used the cheapest possible components and put something together just to sell it in large quantities - see my screenshot pictures. Not a high quality product that I would expect from a Mac accessory, I would say it should cost $20-25 at most. Buy it for extra hub connectors and cooling but don't expect a miracle from the HDD performance, replace the stock cable that they send you in a box with a high quality cable the 1st thing and throw that stock cable away.

This was very underwhelming for the price
For what it is, a shell of plastic containing an ssd connection and some front-mounted ports, this item was very underwhelming for the cost. I replaced it with a multi-port usb-c hub and TWO external usb-c ssd enclosures, saving about 50 bucks. Cost savings aside, here are some other thoughts on this:1) the top of the enclosure isn't recessed very much, so my M2 Pro mini kept sliding off the side2) the transfer rates from the front ports and sd reader are very slow. I got about 1/3 of the rated throughput on these ports.Looking at it, it looks pretty nice and compliments the mini well, but with the mini sliding off the top and the slow transfer rates, I give this one a 2 star rating.

Easy way to increase storage on Mac Mini
Lots on USB inputs and space for SSD drive make this a no brainer for those wanting to increase the storage and connection capacity of your Mac Mini.
