I normally do not write reviews unless a product has absolutely fulfilled every expectation. Kolua Wax for Coarse Hair has done just that. I am a Brazilian wax lover and that is exactly what I mean...from the Magical Kingdom to the Apple Crack I will wax all of it. I totally hate hair down there. I used to use Gigi's Brazilian Hard Wax and I absolutely hated it. It was messy, crumbled in pieces when pulling, and made me feel so uncomfortable afterwards. I am a tough girl, but I do not know how I managed to use Gigi's product for the past 11 years. I had read all of the reviews about Kolua, you know, eliminating the negative comments that really did not focus on the actual use of the product or sounded like lame complaints of people just being unhappy or literally do not know how to wax. I took some in consideration but I still bought this product. It arrived same day and I was so excited, I immediately told the kids to go upstairs and I had my room and bathroom to myself. The moment I been waiting for, trying a new wax for the Magical Kingdom. I started with the inner thigh first and surprisingly did not feel a thing. Then I just kept going. The most sensitive part the landing strip, voila! No pain and no more hair. I am very sensitive when it comes to the lips of the Magical Kingdom and I had to take a break to get focused. Gigi left me with scars in my mind and nightmares lol. Then it happened, all at once...a slight tingle and all the hair was gone. Now for the Apple Crack. BOOM!! No more hair and no pain, only a tingle. THIS IS THE BEST PRODUCT OF WAX I HAVE EVER HAD!!! I will definitely continue to buy this product. I hope this company do not go out of business. The most important part of this product that made me feel truly happy was there was no puffiness, only minor redness in the inner thigh (which is normal), and I could literally walk and feel comfortable taking a shower. I literally did not feel any pain afterwards. I felt absolutely normal unlike Gigi's. This product does not need a picture for my review because again, it is of the Magical Kingdom. I dare you to try this product, I am not a sales person, only an extremely happy customer. LOVE YOU KOLUA!!

The media could not be loaded. Love this wax! A previous wax I used would not grip my hair well and leave lots behind, as well as break apart when pulling off. This wax is nice and thick for a good grab and pull. It’s also nice and flexible. I use this to do a Brazilian and will never use another kind again. So easy to work with and satisfying wax every time!

I’m a cheapskate so I really didn’t want to like this wax, especially considering it’s almost twice as expensive as other brands Amazon has to offer.That being said, this is the best wax I’ve tried on the market! Not only doesn’t it not break, it also hurts way less than other hard waxes I’ve tried.Perfect for Armpits, Brazilians, and legs.

I'm still a newbie to home waxing. I was recently mesmerized by a YouTube video showing the magic of using Hard Wax beans for hair removal and decided to purchase a warmer and various brands of Hard Wax Beans.When this arrived, I thought the free Lei was a nice touch, I love little touches like this!Now onto the wax itself...Ok, so the 1st time I used it, I'd just finished working a night shift and after getting home, I thought it'd be a great time to try out my new Kolua Wax, because we all make such WONDERFUL choices after being awake for 15 hours and running on the fumes of an energy drink! Ha,ha,ha!I poured about 1/4 of bag into the warmer and cranked it up as hot as I could get it, because I wanted to melt it down as fast as possible so I could get down to business. After about 15 min it was melted down and I scaled the temperature back to 160, so I wouldn't end up with 3rd degree burns. I dipped the stick into it and as I twirled it, I noticed that it was REALLY watery and stringy-but whatever! I twirled away the strings as best as I could and sitting up on the sink with my legs opened, I attempted to give myself a Bazillion bikini wax. I didn't want to do too big of an area, to start off with, so I applied about a 1" dab onto my crotch. Again, LOTS of strings as I pulled the stick away. I waited a minute, grabbed a corner of the wax, took a deep breath and PULLED as hard and as fast as I could. AAAACK!!!!!Unfortunately, instead of pulling away in a nice solid strip, it was like GUM stuck to my pubes and skin.... OMG... It was a NIGHTMARE... I was trying to pull out these evil little balls of wax, with my pubic hair stuck to it; it was like the Chinese Death of a Thousand Cuts... At one point, I tried to pry it off with scissors, but I was afraid of cutting myself, so I stopped. I just could NOT get it out. I finally resigned myself to having to spend the next few months with this gob of wax stuck to my lady bits, until it grew out enough for me to cut it out.Anyways, I cleaned out the rest of the wax from the warmer and put it away. Eventually, I was able to get the rest of the wax out of my pubes using frequent applications of coconut oil and shampoo and conditioner.I was a little gun shy after this experience, but I decided to give it another go. This time, I decided to try using it after being well rested. I also decided to SLOWLY warm up the wax, instead of melting it down as fast as possible. I set my warmer to 185 degrees and after about 45 minutes it had melted down nicely. WOW-what a difference!!! This time it wasn't watery, it was a nice honey like consistency and not nearly as stringy as it was the 1st time I used it AND it came off in one piece, instead of breaking apart like gum. With about 1/4 of the bag, I was able to wax my face, my armpits, my abdomen and give myself a brazilin..Some areas did take more than 1 application to complete, but each time I pulled the strips away, there was hair on it, so it was doing the job nicely. I decided to give 4 stars instead of 5, because like other's have said, it didn't do a good job with removing leg hair, maybe once I get more efficient with waxing, I'll be able to make it work for my legs, and if so, I'll change it to 5 stars.But, it's a good deal, the bag will last for awhile and it smells pleasant, so I'd recommend trying this. I'm still experimenting with waxing, to see what brand of wax I like best, but I could see myself purchasing this one again.

Coming back and changing my review from 4 to 5 stars. It does its job, removes the hair and doesnt smell awful. Ive been using this wax for a long time for my lady mustache haha

I used this wax for my brazilian and it surprised me. Being a strip free wax, other waxes have fallen apart after hardening if you don't put a thick enough layer. Not this wax( AND I HAVE THICK HAIR) Every hair, even the smaller ones came off with ease. I didn't have to go back over the area more than the one time. It is a little stringy after applying to one area but it dries fast and easy to remove. It doesn't stick to my skin like my other wax. Just make sure you use a good epilation oil.Definitely my new favorite wax! Even smells nice☺️

Works fine, not great- not bad. Gets most hairs off, but it smells so bad.
