We have an umbrella on our deck where there is simply not enough light at night. We open the umbrella when we eat out on the deck so we can see each other across the square table, but we always wish there was more light. This light is perfect! We love that it can face down toward the table or up toward the umbrella for more ambient light, which is the way we ended up preferring. The light clips on and does stay where we wanted it on the umbrella. The fact that it is rechargeable is key so we do not have to worry about replacing batteries. This is fantastic!

This works perfectly on my patio umbrella. Easy to attach and use and gives you just enough light for evenings out. Very bright. I have had it out in the rain and it doesn’t seem to affect it at all. Highly recommend

This light is great when you want added ambience on your deck :) I do like that you have the choice of how many lights you want to come on with this umbrella light. I wish there was a way you can leave it on your umbrella when you want to fold the umbrella down, but it wont collapse with the light attached.Very easy to use. Its also great if you just want to leave it on the table/picnic table (it is portable!)

I'd been looking for an umbrella light for quite some time for summer dinners on the patio, and also for playing cards outdoors which became impossible after a certain hour in the evening. I had actually fashioned my own umbrella light out of an old 12V landscape light and a homemade battery pack. But it wasn't terribly elegant or convenient, as I had to remove the batteries to recharge them.So I was quite happy to find this light, though it took a bit of alteration on my part, as my umbrella is the cantilever/hanging type so there is no center pole to which I could attach the light's clamping mechanism.The light itself is well designed. It's very easy to attach/detach from a pole with just the press of a button. It does not have a built-in battery, which I was unaware of when I ordered it. Instead you provide your own (4) AA batteries. If you use rechargeable AA batteries, you can recharge them with removing them via the charging port. You can also use regular AA batteries and simply replace them when you need to. There are 3 brightness settings, providing ample and selectable amounts of lighting. So you can have a dimmer dinner mood light vs a brighter light for a card game. The light itself is fairly rugged, and gets protected from the elements by the umbrella itself, so appears it should last a long time.So back to my customization. Having no center pole with my umbrella, I had to get a little creative by hanging a small length of wood dowel from my umbrella so it would have something to clamp onto. I also hung a more decorative solar light underneath that to add to my lighting options. I'm happy with the result.

We'll see how it goes, it has a built in Lithium battery, but it is not very high capacity, I've installed 4 rechargeable NiMh batteries and they seem to charge with the supplied USB cable, but I'm sure they would charge better in a dedicated charger, but this plug in method seems to work OK.
