Got the simple version, dont need a remote in a 10ft box. I would buy another if needed, no question. Sits in the air shadow of my roof air unit and I can drive with it full open. No water even fully open in Florida rainstorms. With solar on top I can let it run and never worry about it with 200Ah of Li. ion to draw on at night. Great unit.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: this fan has blown out twice on me. i've  had others inspect it, and noone knows why it keeps happening. can someone guide me??**
A: by blown out im guessing you mean burnt out [fried, stopped working] these max air fans sometimes burn out if more than 13volts is applied which happens when charging coach batteries, [plugged in using converter power or driving charging with alternator] lol yes a company that specializes in rv fans made it so more than 13volts can damage it, if you add a 12 volt voltage regulator inline it will last forever

**Q: How does it effect fuel economy?**
A: I've found that with the unit running on high it actually pushes enough air out that my fuel economy has improved!

**Q: Would these work for a food truck**
A: It depends on the specific context. It will work quite well as an RV fan, I'd recommend two (one exhaust one intake, at opposite ends of the compartment) if you want to achieve some normal kitchen circulation. It will certainly NOT replace a hood exhaust.

**Q: Can the white plastic of the mounting surfacr and inner collar be painted?? (In order to color match with vehicle)**
A: Yes, it can be painted, there is a spray paint for plastic with primer.

Fan works great. I will say don’t expect a huge movement of air as it only goes to speed level four but we have a small Jayco 174BH and it moves the air just fine for us. There’s this place in our bathroom as this was the only event option for us to utilize. It only goes one direction, which is to exhaust out. Super easy to install. I think half the price of a 10 speed. This is a great value for the money as well as having a name brand fan.
