Good Fine Salt
The paper-sided salt container I received had some rust on the metal bottom, but I've read they had a production problem at some point that caused that. The salt is perfectly fine, and I put store it in a plastic container so I don't have to remember the can. I didn't want coarse salt, and this finer salt is just what I needed for baking and other light seasoning needs.

Save your money!
This is a horrible product, beware! The can looked rusty around both the top and bottom, so, no, I shouldn’t have opened it. However, I did, thinking surely the contents would be ok, but the lumpy salt smells & tastes rusty, too. The date for returning it is January 31, 2026, but when I tried that, I’m told it can’t be returned. Shame on Diamond Crystal and Amazon for sticking a loyal customer with such an awful product!

This is very fine and powdery salt, exactly what I was expecting. Good for baking (obviously!) and sprinkling on fried foods just out of the fryer. Definitely buying again.

Happy with Product
Very fine salt, used a bit of it to season mixed vegetables. Because the texture is very fine the salt literally melts into your food. Haven't yet tried it for baking but that's next on my list.

Great baking salt!
One of the best fine grain salts I have found for baking. I make sourdough and love this salt, mixes in beautifully.I do find the containers to have varying levels of rusting on the edge of the metal tin, but I don't think it affects the salt in any way. It does clump quite a bit as well, so I usually transfer it to an airtight container.
