Quantity of corn is filler when feeding small finch type birds.
This product has a significant amount of corn that small birds can't eat due to large size. Even larger birds as doves can't/won't eat it. Consider the quantity of corn before buying for small finch type birds.

My Country Birds Aren't Impressed
I maintain several bird feeders - for suet, as well as hopper-fed. I was looking for a food that the birds would like and avoid some of the mess under the feeder. This seemed to fit the bill, so I put it into my tube feeder that has a small "platform" at the bottom. Well, the seed only lasted 2-3 days (MUCH faster than before), but the birds weren't eating it - they were scattering it on the ground. Also, I noticed that the birds that DID eat it weren't the birds I wanted to feed; my cardinals were now missing and had gone elsewhere for food. I will say that I did have doves that I hadn't had previously (they're ground feeders). I have another tube feeder with a different type of feeding port, so I'll try it; hopefully the birds won't just scatter it on the ground. So yes, I'm disappointed. I have to find another seed for my country birds as well as cardinals.
