AVARELLE XL Large Hydrocolloid Acne Cover Patches for Face & Body 8 Count

Update: as you can see in the photo the bigger patch is Avarelle and maybe I’m just terrible at applying it or maybe it’s the area I applied it but it did get wrinkly. It looks like it didn’t do much but it’s cause the whole patch sucked out the oils and some dead skin so you can’t see a huge difference. But overall the area where I had the patch on feels a lot smoother and cleaner. TLDR: Bigger and thinner than mighty patch, just as effective. For half the price!!! Great at drawing out sebum and oil. Recommend if mighty patch is out of your budget! For context, I’m currently a 20 year old college student and my acne has been through many ups and downs and unfortunately this time was a down. For the past couple of weeks I have actually been eyeing this product as well as the mighty patch. So I decided to order them both to try and see how they compare as one is twice as expensive as the other. The mighty patch consists of 10 patches for 17.99, while the Avarelle patch has 8 patches for half the price(8.50). In terms of size, I was pleasantly surprised with how big it was, the Avarelle patch covers a larger surface area and is in the shape of a square. The mighty patch is more rectangular and I would say half the size of the Avarelle patches. In terms of flexibility and thickness the Avarelle is slightly thinner and has the slightest bit more stretch than the mighty patch. Both stick on through out the night very well and didn’t budge even through my toss and turns. I would say that when putting on the Avarelle patch you might have to be slightly careful with where you apply it because I applied it between my jaw and neck area and it did wrinkle a bit and when I removed it, it did leave a slight mark from the patch. (THEN AGAIN, it might have just been the way I applied it and unfortunately I forgot to take pictures. But I will be posting an update when I use it again!) Now the real question is, were they effective? If you look at other reviews and pictures you will see that the patches extracted lots of sebum and oil. And that is true for both! (AGAIN WILL BE POSTING PICTURES WHEN THE NEXT TIME I USE!) Both acted the same, and I wouldn’t necessarily say they were uncomfortable but you can definitely feel the patch there. (So maybe for those with sensitive skin, be careful when taking off the patch) All in all, I would say they are both equally as effective, BUT Avarelle patches are bigger and cover more surface area than the mighty patch. It’s also slightly thinner and flexible than the other. AND IT WORKS JUST AS WELL FOR HALF THE PRICE! If you need a quick patch that works in removing oils and have an area with pimples that’s ready to pop, this is the product for you!

These patches truly help expedite the healing process and, as someone who has a hard time not picking any kind of bump that surfaces, protect the damaged skin from my dirty paws contaminating it quite effectively! Highly recommend

I have seen pictures of these xl patches all over. I love my little round hydrocolloid patches so much that I finally decided to pull the trigger and purchase the XLs. Initially I was surprised by how thin they are. The small patches I've purchased have felt thicker. I've used these 4 nights now and I'm disappointed. I feel like they don't suck as much gunk out of my face as my smaller/thicker patches do. if you move your face at all, they pucker and wrinkle up a little bit. I suppose the puckering might not be an issue if you plan to use them on the cheeks/jaw, but I've tried forehead, chin, and along my smile lines and they pucker and wrinkle. I even tried cutting them into halves to minimize the pulling when my face moves, but that didn't help much. I think they're the best option if you have a cluster of blemishes--it just doesn't make sense to use several small round patches overlapped in one small area when you could slap a big patch over the area and then maybe try smaller patches on more stubborn pimples the night after. Basically, even though I think they could be better, they're the best option I have so I'm sticking with them.

These are good for large skin areas. Did the job for me and removed a lot of gunk from my skin.

I'll start this off by letting you know I've suffered with acne for probably close to 20 years. It started in my pre-teens and now that I hit the big 3-0 it finally seems to have stopped. Soon while I'm no longer dealing with huge zits the size of Mount Everest I still get clogged pores because they are enlarged from my previous acne battles. My cheeks and chin looks like they're covered in moon craters and when I use an extractor on the pores a ton of sebum comes out. So rather than continuously stick a ton of little tiny circles on my face that are meant for individual zits I figured I'd try these extra large patches. Wow. They worked absolutely amazing. I feel like when I use the individual small dots the other companies make I have to press really hard on my face to make sure they adhere well. That was not a problem at all here. The adhesion was fantastic and when it came time to remove the patches it didn't feel like I was ripping off my flesh. I could see all the gross and yet satisfying little white blobs on the patch from where it had absorbed my excessive sebum and bacteria while I slept. My pores looked so much smaller because all of that gross stuff that was clogging them had been removed and they could shrink back to a normal size. Seriously, this stuff is great. These did way better than any pore strips I ever used have and they were less painful to use. Oh, I like to add that this company sent me a really cute card via snail mail to thank me for my purchase and I love that the design was made by a talented woman with special needs named Eun Song. I already like to support small businesses, but those who are equal opportunity employers and hire individuals who are differently-abled is something I absolutely have a soft spot for. So go buy these if you want to have baby-soft poreless skin and are tired of it looking like Neil Armstrong should be planting a flag on your face.

I really like the idea of such large patches...but I can't hello but think that these should actually be cheaper than the dots. Same brand you get a pack of 4 dots, but what do they do with the part they peel away? And doesn't it cost more to cut out a ton of dots, and despose of the cutout part, creating waste when they could sell sheets like this cheaper? Pretty sure it's cheaper to manufacture sheets...but you only get 8, and one didn't want to stick. I've only used 1 1/2 sheets so far but I've used lota of their dots. I liked then at first but they left severe dryness thsr requires Aquaphor for 3 days after use. I've found my holy grail type after much searching, and while this brand does work well, adheres well, they need replaced too often for the price compared to the other brand I found. I may buy the squares again just for emergency large area breakouts, but...for what you get, the pricing could be much better, and no dryness with the other brand. The large patches are also pretty hard to peel and apply without it doubling on itself, I'll probably cut them in half or smaller to.maximize usage for cost.

Works INSANELY well! I bought these based on the other great reviews and pictures. I didn’t have high hopes because I don’t always trust amazon product reviews, but for the price I was ok with trying it out myself. From experience, I knew that some of the ingredients in the patch work well with fighting some acne over night. These patches actually work amazingly well!!! I like the bigger sized patches, rather than their small dot ones, because I can use it on large areas of breakouts and also because I have the option to cut the patches smaller if needed. I am obsessed with these! I work in a beauty store and have tried many different brands and this is my top favorite! Especially for the price point and the amount of patches, you can’t find better in my opinion! I highly recommend trying these!! >> tips on how I use them: I wash my face and do my entire skin care routine (tone, serum, moisturizer) then access the area(s) or spots of acne that I want to apply the patch(s) over. Before applying the patch, I first make sure to clean the area on my skin of serum and moisturizer by wiping it with a cotton pad of micellar water or warm water- this helps to clear away product that will make the patch hard to stick to or to take away any barriers that would make the patch less effective. Make sure area of skin is dry and then apply patch so that it lays nice and smooth! Can leave over night or all day under face mask.>>> Amazed by the quick and amazing results!!!

I have ordered these particular patches over 10 times, so it’s safe to say I’m a huge fan of the product. I like the extra large patches bc you can cut them down with scissors as small or as big as you want… no wasted product & you're getting way more uses out of a package than if you buy the individual size ones. Result wise, this brand works better than any of the other ones I’ve tried. I put it on overnight and the difference in swelling and redness by morning is obvious! You can see how well it worked when you take it off and see the “evidence” on the patch. When I find a product that I swear by, I always like to share with others! Best bang for your buck and the patches give you great results!

Bought this as i hated using up all the small dots at a time if i felt inhad a problematic area. As you can see from the photos its great!

I have used many acne patches in the Indian market but none come close to this one. The size allows you to cut and customise it according to individual acne. The adhesive use will not budge even if you sleep with it on. Although it’s a bit on the expensive side, the product delivers perfectly.
