Arrival info. Cost is fair.
Have used this particular vintage bronze light gauge for years. Recommended by other friend musicians word of mouth that can be trusted. Keep your fingers clean. Last longer. That’s on any brand rule of thumb.

Good GHS Acoustic Strings
They’re GHS strings, and like all GHS strings they sound great but to me, seem to lose their brightness fairly quickly.... I use these strings when I want a deeper tone, such as solo performances, acoustic shows, etc... I’m aware other players don’t do this (trust me, I’ve had techs, other players ask me why, and it’s just because I can hear the immediate difference once a string loses it’s life/color), but I usually change strings (electric & acoustic), every 6-8 hours of playing... That usually gives me, playing time to break them in/stretch, a good rehearsal/sound check and one show (1-2 hours).... My acoustic playing time is really small compared to the time I play electric so, spending money on acoustic strings that get changed regularly doesn’t make since to me... All in all, a good set of acoustic strings...

Great for my all Hog guitar
I tried these strings on a recently new Alvarez AVC9 guitar that has a solid torrefied mahogany top and laminate mahogany back and sides. These strings are not as bright as Phosphor Bronze, and they work great with an all Mahogany guitar. The all hog wood has a pun guitar has a punchy tone, not much sustain, that is great for strumming or finger style. If you have one, I'd recommend that you try a set of these. The reason I gave 4 stars is that I cannot rate how long lasting these are, as Ive had them about a week. It took 2-3 days to settle them in. So far, I like them very much.

Sound good even after freshly installed
Most strings sound too harsh and bright when first put on. These sound good right away so I immediately ordered a few more sets. I can't comment on their longevity. The slightly warmer sound reminds me of DR Rares.

Warm, strong bass, clear treble
I have been going back and forth between "D.." strings, GHS mediums and the GHS Vintage all in mediums - need the volume for bluegrass and old-time fiddle bands. My Doc Watson Gallagher likes the "D..." brand better. But my Taylor BTO (Adirondack/Madagascar R/W 816) sounds the best by far with the Vintage Bronze mediums. Strong on volume, bass response and sustain. Still has very clear treble and rings like a bell up the neck. On the new Taylor 616 ce, the Vintage Bronze was slightly down on the sharpness of the attack but added a lot of bass and sustain. The maple is trebly anyway so I am enjoying this guitar much more now.Would recommend these to anyone who doesn't like the brightness of new strings

Amazing sound
I'm fairly new to guitar. When I bought my Norman B20 it came with these strings, but in a medium. They tore my virgin fingers up. I switched to light and they are amazing. I try and play about a half hr a day. I've had these strings on for over a month and they sound great. Great tone, sustain. Sounds like butter :) I don't have a lot of experience with other brands (none actually) but I know these sound great and are priced perfectly. I keep an extra set in my case

Warm up a bright guitar.
I have been looking for a long time for the right strings for my solid maple back and sides, solid spruce top dreadnought guitar that has an overly bright sounding tone. These are the best strings I’ve found so far that warms up the tone without making it muddy or subdued. I highly recommend these strings if you have a overly bright acoustic guitar that you want to warm up a bit.
